Persona Q2, a chibi game that crosses Persona 3, 4 and 5 together, lots of funny little dialogues that's only possible in this fun crossover spin-off!
To clarify how the male protag of Persona 3 summons their persona, they have to embrace death, the gun (Named the Evoker), is a method to help with summoning, in Persona 4 it's different and different as well with Persona 5.
Plus P3 and P4 having highschool teens dressed appropriately unlike P5's Phantom Thieves, who wear wacky costumes (Maybe Teddy counts too, since he apparently crossdresses as that "Alice in wonderland girl", yes, Teddy is male, yes he's still far from human despite him having a human form)

The Persona 3 cast summons their Personas by pointing a gun-shaped device to their head and pulling the trigger. As for them, the acknowledgment of Death and acceptance of it is what allows them to summon their persona. This is different from the P5 cast, who rip off the masks they use in public to reveal their true, rebellious self. While the P4 cast summons a Tarot card that they break, symbolizing their determination to take hold of their destinies and search for the truth.
The Union attack where the blue-hair boy and Joker pointed guns at their heads are doing it for different reasons. Blue-hair boy (P3 protagonist) is summoning a Persona to give his attack a boost. While Joker is just copying him and being a silly, little boy. Also neither of their guns are actually real. The P3 Protagonist's is called an Evoker, and is just meant to evoke the feeling of being close the feeling of death to summon the Persona. While Joker's is just a model gun, it only works in battle because it looks so real that their enemies think it has the properties of being a real gun so the laws of the world makes it "real" to them.
Tl:dr, each cast has a different catalyst for summoning their persona. P3=facing death head-on and coming to terms with it, P4=taking control of your life and what you want, P5=rebelling against the forces that try to keep you down.

The Persona Q series is a spin-off dungeon crawler RPG game that is also a crossover. Persona 3 crossover with persona 4 in persona q1, and Persona 5 made their crossover with P3 and P4 in persona q2. As for the chibi models of this series, I would say it’s because these games are from the 3DS era so Power limitations, small screen, low resolution. That’s all I say about it. Other than that, this series is very good. And as someone who played both games, they are enjoyable to play.
Edit: also if you’re curious about Persona 3 and why guns are at their own heads, I recommend watching Persona 3’s gameplay.

4:49 P3 Characters' "Guns" are called Evokers. They have no real barrel or anything to put a bullet in. They are claimed to fire "Psychological Trauma", an are used to bring out their personas. In Fact Koromaru's (The Dog's) Collar is a modified Evoker so he can use it himself. It was amazing that the brief fearmongering news cycle about that imagery didn't ruin the game. No wonder they toned it down to crushing tarot cards and ripping off masks afterward (though the mask thing was still kinda icky, what with the splashes of red).

PersonaQ is a series for the 3DS and they chibified the characters so it would fit on the device since these games are big!
As for story, the first one goes about the cast of Persona 3 and 4 getting sucked into strange rift and meeting each other there(wich would't be possible normally) and they have to solve these strange labyrinths based on the school festival from Persona 4 to figure out how to get back home.
Q2 has a similar story only it adds the Persona 5 cast to it as well, and considering u can play with ALL of them thats quite the cast for 1 game.
Btw, these unison attacks all were basicly the archtype characters of each game grouping up for a big attack, the Queens, the tough guys and in the last one the 4 protagonists of all 3 games.
Btw, the girl with the Naginata(the spearlike weapon) is the female version of the P3 protagonist(the blue haired guy) from Persona 3 Portable, and is a fan favorite they added at their request.

Every Persona game has a plot to it, and they're usually pretty good. The only ones that really come across like "let's make a crossover for the sake of doing a crossover" that only throw in a very bare bones plot are the second pair of rhythm games based on Person 3 and 5. Person 4 has a rhythm spinoff game too, but it actually has a story that's surprisingly complex given the genre.

@@murasaika2776 Honestly, I still liked them, and they could've been worse. They created new character models and costumes, remixed a lot of music, came up with all those dance routines, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the DLC applied to both versions of the game, so buying the DLC for one game gave it to you in the other game too. The only thing about them that really annoyed me is that if you wanted the original Persona 4 DAN game, you had to buy the multipack of both the P4 and P5 versions. I don't know if that's changed though.

  • @ChuckRuck523

The point of the gun in the blue haired guy's head (Minamoto) is actualkybhow he summons his Personas. In Persona 3 there is a heavy theme of Death. The Evokers (the gun Minamoto was using) actually summons Personas by shooting himself in the head, symbolizing his acceptance of Death. All the Persona 3 characters have evokers

Yeahhh persona 3 is def a darker game. In order to summon their persona they have to confront their own mortality or death so they use gun shaped devices called “evokers”. The motto of the game is “Memento Mori” or basically “Remember you will die” in Latin. So yeah not actually shooting themselves in the head but it def seems like it

So, in Persona Q2, the cast of Persona 3, 4, and 5 are stuck in a cinema. They enter different movie screens which serve as different worlds. They each have their own genre like superhero movie, adventure, sci-fi, etc. The player has to draw the map of each world as they go along. The further you go in, the more complex the map, hence a labyrinth.

  • @SeroSaber

All four protagonists are from separate games of persona, like the blue hair guy with the “gun” and the girl with the lance sword, those characters are from the 3rd game and those two are the main characters in their own time, and the silver hair guy with the long sword, he’s also a main character from the 4 game, and of course Joker as well, they all summon their personas differently cause in each game it has its own theme of what the games’ story is all about. And yah, all story’s are all long like this paragraph 😅

This is a crossover spinoff game that was i think for handheld consoles. Persona 5 is the mask and costumed characters. 3 and 4 wear their schools uniform. I'm sooooo excited for P3 remake coming out soon, but it doesn't seem like you'll be able to play as the girl. I thought the game was better as her, and her weapon is cooler. The relationships as the girl were so much better imo... except obviously the controversial romancing a 10 year old route, but the normal human telling him he's too young for that is fine lol. Also doggo is best boi.
P3 the shoot a gun at their heads to call out their persona. Shits wild.

Basically, to put it simply. Persona Q is a crossover game featuring the casts of Persona 3 & 4. Q2 is the sequel to that adding the Persona 5 characters to the mix. The Chibi art style is byproduct of the game being on the 3DS. The final attack had all of the protagionists:
The blue haired su!c!dal guy is the MC of Persona 3
The girl is also from Persona 3
The silver haired guy with the sword is from Persona 4
Joker is.. well, Joker from Persona 5
Every Persona game has a different summoning method. The pulling the trigger on yourself thing is how Personas are summoned in Persona 3. The guns also aren’t real guns they're a special device called an "Evoker"
Hope this cleared some things up.
P.S yall should react to the Main Character Persona Awakenings.

I haven’t seen anyone say it so I’ll say it. This game, Persona Q2, takes place before Persona 5 ends. There’s a character in the team that’s a dead giveaway to that. Also the last one shows the protagonists from P3, P4, and P5. P3 has 2, the gender counterparts, and for some reason Atlus didn’t add the characters from P1 or P2 😭

Persona Q2 is a spin off and cross over between Persona 3, 4, & 5. The game is a self contained non canonical story. So the persona 3 characters summon personas by not fearing death. Being able to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger allows them to summon their personas easier. I would recommend either watching the anime series which is four movies which are beautifully made or at least watching all the cutscenes from the game. Personally I’d do the movie now then wait for the persona 3 remake coming out soon to do the remade content.
