Allison, great interview. It's so cool you actually listen to William. He's such a character, his attitude is powerful. The work he's done is proof of his talent.
Been a fan for over 3 decades. This man has saved my life in so many ways. So grateful for this interview and being able to see him in a different light.
I didnt get into Pumpkins until just before Adore. Did a deep dive, bought every cd i could, albums, singles, box sets, even got a Q101 cd version of Machina II, (prized possession). Never looked back. Best band of my generation, period. Every release has something i love. Enjoy this while you can. Just my opinion
First off, great triceps, and two, you have to be one of the best interviewers of artists ever! This one was a banger. Love WPC so much and his family.
Adore was a courageous choice. Also, it’s an incredible album. As long as people get stuck in the past they won’t appreciate the present. This disapproval from “fans” happened with other great bands that evolved and changed their sound - Radiohead, Silverchair. But when the artists are true to themselves and create what emerges from their soul, great things happen. We just have to be open to listen. Really nice to hear a candid interview with Billy. ❣️
excellent interview. she knows her stuff and the sentence: “I like long answers” is awesome, without pressure, without speeding up time. billy is an well spoken man who is a pleasure to listen to. we saw them this summer in Zagreb, Croatia. It was a dream come true. Monumental scary guy on the stage, and a teddy bear inside. perfect!❤
This was pretty good. Loved to see you guys in conversation. Very revealing and interesting interview. And..Corgan is aging well. He's always been pretty articulate, but, nowadays he is better than ever. I hope i can catch them live soon, here in Europe. Thanks very much for this. What a treat ;)
I met Billy in 1992 at Zoots in Portland Maine after the show and honestly he seems like the same guy I met back then mixed with a lot more wisdom from the years of dealing with the music industry and having a family. It’s great to see when your heroes end up being super intelligent and genuine. Great interview, you did an awesome job getting him to be candid and letting him talk cough….are you watching this Bill Maher?
Just you wait... just you wait until you get to meet their entire personality...until they find a healthy love for the first time... until they figure out priorities...until you realize you'd actually want to be friends with this human at their age. There are so many things to look forward. What a joy it was to hear from Billy and feel connected to him in this way
Finally got to see them in August in KCMO after 30 years of being in love with SP yet never being able to see em. Blew my fuckin mind. They played everything i wanted and needed to hear the set was unbelieveable and they sound even more amazing live. Billy and co have been saving my life for 30 years and that is no joke. Greatest concert of my life no question and shared with with my kids who thankfully love SP too!!! The new record is amazing cant wait for my vinyl copy.
I love that we knew these bands and had the priveledge to keep memories in our heads. That’s why they keep impacting, and sustaining interest. Great pod episode🤘
Hi Allison ! I saw the pumpkins last year with Interpol & both were in fine form. Billy is a great interview & would've probably been an excellent music journalist. Thanks Allison 🎸 !
This is so amazing. Thank you for sharing the interview. I resonate so deeply with many of his experiences and perspectives. I’ve been listening to his music since the early 90s and they have been an epic part of my adolescent and adult life. And the show with Green Day was incredible!!! Also, hearing that the things he wanted and thought he’d never receive finally did show up at age 45 is comforting. I’m 42 and I’m still waiting. But he gives me hope.
I will agree the vocals are best in almost 20 years. I have seen them live 6 times now going back 25 years and live the “newer” stuff always seemed to sound better to me. Billy’s voice is great so I hope he keeps doing it this new/old way. I have enjoyed the last 2 decades of music. Instruments, lyrics great but the voice/singing is what turns good background music into something you want to listen to over and over again. Side note this tour with Green Day is probably the happiest I have ever seen Billy on stage.
So happy the Band is still going. Cant wait for the physical release on cd and vinyl of the new album. Gonna have to stream it again tonight. Thats how much i care. I will stream, even though i detest streaming
Hi agaib Allison! I'm happy I watched your premiere Q&A videi with Billy! He's amazing. He & his band really made tons of changes for the good. I also appreciated their special sppearnve in The Simpson's Homerpalooza. :D Another well done Q&A from you, Allison! 👏👏👏👏
@AllisonHagendorf.Hello and thank you for your content!!! New subscriber here, Billy had mentioned one of his past mall shows and somewhere between 1998-2000, a mall in upstate NY known as the Colone Center was closed off for the Residential Opportunities Incorporated (ROI) crew, which is now The Center For Disabilities. If you could possibly relay to Billy C that my past clients that attended the show that magic was truly intense and will forever be treasured! 🎉
8:40 interesting hearing billy talk about how his musical career didn't turn out the way he wanted. he clearly didn't want to address it i guess something to do with high much many accolades the pumpkins had atone point and then he it went the complete opposite. its not like radiohead who kind of always had decent critical acclaim for most of their careers
Billy is coming here to Sydney next mth. My son looks like him yet bears Prince's surname as his Christian name. What was Billy like outside of the interview?

Muchas gracias, me llegó al corazón como siempre lo hace Corgan con su arte.
Absolutely love the non scripted relaxed chat. Smashing pumpkins music will always be one of my all-time faves. Thank you Billy! 🖤
Allison I’m already hitting the like button and it hasn’t started yet 😂❤
I love that so much! 😊
Great interview.. Billy was in good form. I've seen the pumpkins 3 times in Manchester England from 1996, 2000, 2024 - always amazing live ❤

Wow. Did you even watch the whole thing or just jump on here to spew negativity? Gross
