Hi Jim, the Direware is a true beauty! I'm glad you carry and use your knives even though they cost a crapload of money. I always love how you talk about your blades (and guestblades)! Looking forward to your next videos. Regards Melvin
That has to be one of, if not THE sweetest looking folder I've ever seen. I saw one for sale on Bladeforums last week but just couldn't spend the $1600 asking price...I do LOVE the knife though. Congratulations on having such a nice collection and turning me onto the Brous Blades Division Flipper (the Acid Stonewash is stellar looking). Love your videos Jim, keep them coming...they're very entertaining.
"I love whipping it out in front of other people, of course I'm talking about the knife"lol great video jim, I've been following you for some time and I blame you for all my crazy knife buys! I just recently got the direware solo v2, loving it. Keep up the awesome videos!
I AM HEARING YOU BRO , A MATE OFFERED A MINT V4 FULL TI FLIPPER TO ME , FOR A LOT OF HARD EARNED DOLLARS , AND THOUGH MY MONEY IS BADLY NEEDED ELSEWHERE , SHIT , COULD NOT , CANNOT ,AND DID NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS KNIFE DEAL . LOVE THAT PHATT MOTHER KNIFE . GREAT REVIEW , CHEERS
Going just off the look of it, or by the spec sheet... you can't help but draw that conclusion really. But once you feel it in the hand (assuming you don't have very small hands that is), I think you'd find it quite comfortable. No way around the fact that it IS big and fat, which could keep it from being EDC'd by many... the contours are done so well that it feels wonderful in the grip.
Really like your channel, the knives and your feelings and opinions are the milk-chocolate icing on the yellow cake! I was going to say I could not afford the knives reviewed, but you know, I could if I wanted too and that is the point of high end collecting, I think...While cruising Ebay, it was suggested to me to check out an auction. I clicked on it and the Direware Solo V2 was on auction, start bid $1200!!! Ebay thinks I can afford it!!! LOL I'm done, great channel!!!
I love Direware and so do many many other people. If you are lucky enough to do another video on the newer Direwares'. The M8 is outstanding, but VERY HARD to get your hands on !!
I would never pay the secondary market prices for the Direwares considering Ive gotten all 3 of mine directly from Eric. Eric does amazing work but is it worth carrying for the price, no I dont think so. I think there are many other better choices for EDCs for the secondary price. I just dont like how chunking they are but I think his work is probably some of the best in the business for the direct price from him.
Jim, I asked Dirk the same question. I am in the market for a Direware knife and your collection is Amazing.. just wondering if you were at all interested in parting with any Direware knives?
Thanks Jim, informative, interesting and entertaining... As always. You've got the best voice in the knife world! If you don't mind me asking what line of work are you in, cos your presentation skills are really good. Where'd you learn them? Thanks again
Guess you only own knives in Talonite and SM100 then? S35VN is an excellent steel, and I have yet to hear from one single custom knifemaker that it isn't (even if they don't use it, they still have nothing bad to sayabout it). But hey... what do they know right?
Jim Skelton S35VN is probably my favorite edc steel even over CPM-20CV and M390 which are also at the top of my list. The only reason being in my opinion is because you can get it at a much lower price on most models.
hey jim this is Jessie we talk on fb often about knives ? ...remember I talked to you about my 777.....but anyway can you point me to one of these badboys by any chance?
That's nothing, I've seen custom folders go as high as $4-5000. Its not about "Is it worth it?" but "Do you want one?". Obviously people are willing to pay it.
+David Blackthorne I don't have any concerns, but thanks. I don't fall into either of those categories, and if someone does, they shouldn't be buying custom knives IMO.
+David Blackthorne some people are fortunate to own these knives and if the sh** hits the fan,, we won't have to eat our knives,,I wouldn't buy something if I could not afford it
9 years later these things are going for 2500 ish you still have this one to show off
I did not want to believe it so I thought I would ask you. I appreciate your honesty sir. As I thought you are a gentleman and a scholar.

Not always easy to come by, but always keep an eye out at steeladdiction arizonacustomknives and ebay. ALL will be over $1500 though.

Jim, I asked Dirk the same question. I am in the market for a Direware knife and your collection is Amazing.. just wondering if you were at all interested in parting with any Direware knives?
I love the way this knife looks, do you know if there's any knives that have a similar look but are on the more affordable side?
love the ti color
Jim, if you get the opportunity to do a review of a Direware Tailwhip please do. There is no information available for that knife.

You guys were crazy back in '13 to be paying those prices for a mid-tech.
He sells watches and he sells them well
great video
Jim, you crazy.
10 year report is due
I know this is an old video but do you still feel this way about direware i am looking to get one now I'm just curious about your thoughts
Never handled a Direware that wasn’t fantastic quality.
@@JimSkeltonKnives thanks
How do you sharpen your knives or do you send them in
what kind of lubrication do you use on your bearings on this knife?
Yep I have one. and I love it!
the price seems to be lowering now, under $1000 for it to sell depending on option..Right?
There’s one on eBay right now for a grand
do you sharpen your own knives if so with what tech
Each to their own I guess but all I can think is "what a waste of money" lol
hey jim this is Jessie we talk on fb often about knives ? ...remember I talked to you about my 777.....but anyway can you point me to one of these badboys by any chance?
Please make knife world tv with sfp so we can get our hands on some cool knives.
Do they make a full titanium version?
Never was a huge fan of either of my direwares really. The blade was jus to thin for how thick the scales were. Jus didn't do it for me.
blue4 there's clones
i sold one of my cars for this knife.
i need to handle this knife in person. everyone who owns one says its amazing but it looks so chunky and awkward !
You're wasting your time bothering to answer that troll Jim. 8-)
I bought a 80 dollar SW MP knife and i thought that was expensive lol
Bob Jankins Look for cavallini explorer made by Ricardo Vilar.

Wow! I guess it was worth it to you.
