- Driving on the infamous Sunset Boulevard ironically on a minimally sunny day in none other than Los Angeles.
I wanted to pick back up my 4K UHD driving videos. This time I chose Sunset Boulevard, starting at the point pretty close to my current apartment. I start you off in West Hollywood at the one and only Sunset Strip, then we move into the lush Beverly Hills Flats. Just when you think it couldn’t be a wealthier area, we move into Hombly Hills within Beverly Hills and skirt right past Bel-Air. Finally finishing off at Westwood and I’m cutting the video short before it gets into Brentwood and finally the Palisades.
Honestly Sunset is of my favorite streets to drive on in LA and I take it home from work every single day. I’m just showing you an unedited glimpse of a random drive I did today on MLK weekend because there’s less traffic so you can see the street without a million red lights.
Think of this video as positive energy I’m putting out into the RUclips world to counteract all of my bad drivers videos. I really do love LA and was to spotlight it better. This is more ASMR relaxing vibes and if you’re looking for crazy driving literally watch any other video I’ve posted. Why it’s so shaky I honestly don’t know and if you tell how to fix it I will venmo you $5.
Now for some facts on Sunset Boulevard from wiki.
Sunset Boulevard is a boulevard in the central and western part of Los Angeles, California that stretches from the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades east to Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. It is a major thoroughfare in the cities of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood (including a portion known as the Sunset Strip), as well as several districts in Los Angeles. Approximately 22 miles (35 km) in length the boulevard roughly traces the arc of mountains that form part of the northern boundary of the Los Angeles Basin, following the path of a 1780s cattle trail from the Pueblo de Los Angeles to the ocean.
The boulevard has curvaceous winding stretches, and can be treacherous for unalert drivers in some sections. Sunset Boulevard is at least four lanes wide along its entire route. Sunset is frequently congested with traffic loads beyond its design capacity.
The Sunset Strip portion of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood has been famous for its active nightlife since at least the 1950s.
In contrast to other American cities where it referred to a concentration of radio retailers, in Los Angeles, Radio Row was understood in the 1940s-1950s as the area around the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, where the broadcasting facilities of all four major radio networks were located.
In the 1970s, the area between Gardner Street and Western Avenue was a center for street prostitution. Shortly after a much publicized incident in late June 1995, police raids drove out the majority of prostitutes on the Boulevard.
The portion of Sunset Boulevard that passes through Beverly Hills was once named Beverly Boulevard.
The boulevard is commemorated in Billy Wilder's film Sunset Boulevard (1950), the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical of the same name, and the 1950s television series 77 Sunset Strip. Jan and Dean's 1960s hit song "Dead Man's Curve" refers to a section of the road near Bel Air estates just north of UCLA's Drake Stadium where Jan Berry almost died in an automobile accident in 1966. The Buffalo Springfield song "For What It's Worth" was written about a riot at Pandora's Box, a Sunset Strip club, in 1966.
Noteable places include: Amoeba Records, Beverly Hills Hotel, Blessed Sacrament Church, Book Soup, Carney's, CBS Columbia Square, Chateau Marmont, Cinerama Dome, Comedy Store, Crossroads of the World, Directors Guild of America headquarters, Dudley Do-Right Emporium, Earl Carroll Theatre, The Garden of Allah, Gower Gulch, Hollywood Athletic Club, Hollywood High School, Hollywood Palladium, Hotel Bel-Air, House of Blues, Hyatt West Hollywood, KCET, KTLA, The London Fog, Los Angeles Film School, Marymount High School, Metromedia Square (the former Fox Television Center and KTTV studios), Nickelodeon on Sunset, Palisades Charter High School, Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum, Rainbow Bar and Grill, Rock Walk, The Roxy Theatre, Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, Spago, Standard Hotel, Sunset Junction, Sunset Gower Studios, Tiffany Theatre, Tiki Ti, UCLA, Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go, Will Rogers State Beach and Will Rogers State Historic Park

i was waiting for the excesive honking and yelling and after 2,5 minutes i realised i wasn't watching a "bad drivers" episode 🤣
Saaaame thing. Sorta of disappointed but not really. The camera quality is top notch!!
Excessive? Clearly you've never driven in Los Angeles and dealt with idiots on the road.
Watching this made me miss LA. 😢
Peaceful compared to the other videos haha.
0:36 Traffic Violation: The silver SUV changes lanes without signaling.
And he turned pretty quick

Los Angeles: City of Ads
how people didn't complain about all those ads ?
they are distracting
The graphics on this GTA game is amazing!
That joke is beyond old now..
When I was younger I used to live & work in this area....(now in NY)
I love & still miss LA.....
Thank you for archiving by driving around . I know it's hard for me to find footage of LA when I was a kid in the 80s. So today kids will appreciate this footage as adults in the future. I know it's time-consuming to make all your videos just hang in there and continue making these great videos.
Me: waiting patiently for 45 seconds before I realize nothing is going to happen except driving...
Also me: **thumbs up** *clicks off video*
I don't see 4K...
Nice Job!! What kind of camera?? Very clear an stabil👍👍👍
Being someone whos not from anywhere near LA and probably wont be traveling there for a while, I really appreciate these videos!❤️ i learn my way around by driving and seeing things so thank you

Proud Californian and love visiting neighborhoods in los Angeles and seeing Mexican and Asian cultures and restaurants in los Angeles. Los Angeles is such a beautiful country city with many hip and poor neighborhoods that what makes los Angeles special.
are you using a new dash cam or just using your phone?
Had a guy pull in front of me slammed on breaks and backed up into me...all on dash cam!!!! Awesome
The amount of billboards....Jesus Christ!!!
this is literally like asmr to me LOL
Is gas expensive over in LA? because it’s a mercedes as well which takes 91+, thinking of getting a glk but just can’t settle on the expensive gas.
Premium gas is around $3.75/gallon right now.
On one hand, this was very therapeutic to watch but on the other hand, as I live in Northern New Hampshire / Vermont, the amount of billboards and street signs was nauseating. It's polar opposite of what I see every day.
I’m missing ❤️LA❤️ now
LA is my dream city!
thanks
nice
Nice to see some supercars and performance cars. Some horrid lane discipline shown my some in front of you. Overall relaxing video which is total contrast to the usual haha
As much as I hate some of the drivers and constant traffic, I do love living one block away from Sunset Strip wand walking distance to all the clubs on Santa Monica Blvd in WeHo
I don't think I've ever seen the whole of Sunset. Parts of the business area, yes many times. However, I didn't realize just how long it was. Thanks for sharing. At least the drivers weren't bad.
So many billboards, I would have crashed like 20 times from distracted driving. Great video btw, I was hoping for a driving in LA walkthrough and this is perfect.
Love this video! So ASMR! I play it in the back while doing homework 📚
Question: did you buy a new 4K dash cam or formate there video into 4K? Really nice and clear. Would love a 4K dash cam
Sunset Boulevard is a nice area! It makes me want to watch GTA5 with Miss Coco Peru.
Lived out there for ten years, I'm back in freezing Ohio... Missing LA right now.

5:58 Ugh, lane splitting... unsafe.
