I like this version of Peter, even though the was nerdier in the comics because despite being a “cooler” Peter Parker he was as still an outsider and it was nice to see the twist on that where it’s not the nerdy kid that’s a loner.

Man Mark Webb was on the verge of something truly special. I still say this to this day but I’m convinced if Sony didn’t interfere with either of these films and Webb told the stories he wanted to tell, these would’ve potentially surpassed Sam Raimi’s films as the greatest live action interpretation of Peter Parker
Funniest shit is that Sony messed up with both Raimi and Webb. Why couldn't they stay away and let the directors do their thing

I've noticed that a lot of love has come towards the Amazing Spider-Man. It shows just how much changes after a few years.

I feel that toms Spider-Man is too “disney” it’s fantasy and effect based where Tobeys and andrews were more real. Emotional and relatable to real life. That’s why Tobey wnd Andrew I feel played not only Spider-Man the best but almost more importantly, Peter Parker.
Andrew's story was the most harsh one. It wasn't Tobey's or Tom's fault that they lost uncle Ben but Andrew was selfish that night he decided to leave his house in the middle of the night not caring about the one person he looked up to the most. Uncle Ben , died that night because of Peter that's why Andrew is my favorite spidey, cause in the end he is the most realistic one the one that touches your heart the most. He had one of the most sad and traumatic years but still he doesn't give up and he decides that he has to stand up and use his powers for good
actually even tobey was somewhat responsible for the loss of uncle ben , he was overcome with revenge and let the thief go by which resulted in death of uncle ben and also how he lied about going to library but was doing something else , but yeah andrew's uncle ben hit differently , he is in fact my fav spiderman

I can understand the appeal of Holland, he really is/was a likable kid when he first started playing Spiderman, but Andrew acting was just several layers deeper, and more interesting as character development, but he was just also older when he played spiderman.
Andrew was 27 vs Holland who was cast when he was only 19. So it shouldn't come as any surprise that Andrew could play a couple levels deeper than Tom in their first;. I think Tom likely will be able to get there but his personality is just different as well, so hard to know if that much fame early will work for him or against him later on as far as character.
But yea I would agree there are scenes with Andrew that are still my favorite of all the Spidermans. I worked for Sony Pictures when Tobey Mcquire played him so while I liked the movies enough back then, I really thought it wasn't real enough at times for me, ie it got a little too fake, guys running around in fake customs that didn't look like they would withstand a bending too far let alone supposed superhuman strength etc.. Andrew really grounded the IP, and actually so did Emma Stone who also just a great actress as well...
Super happy to see Andrew will be back even for a cameo in the new movie...

He was such an amazing Peter, and they were such beautiful Spider-Man stories. I wish they were as appreciated as they deserved.

What's ironic is he's the most accurate adaptation of Peter Parker no matter if his movies were sometimes a mess and yet he gets the most hate. It's weird to me that people that know NOTHING about Spider-Man comics claim he's the worst and Tom's the "best".

Andrew’s Spider-Man had the saddest story I think he lost uncle Ben in the first film made a promise to Gwen’s dad that he would keep her out of his life as Spider-Man and then because he couldn’t she died too

Toby was the most balanced of the three. Was adequate at both Spider-Man and Peter Parker.
Tom Holland is the better SPIDER-MAN. But Andrew is the best peter Parker and that’s why he’s the best. Because for those of us who have read the comics, know that the kiddy jokes a lot spider that Tom plays isn’t who he is. Yes in the beginning. But Spider-Man’s story is viciously sad and broken. And Andrew shows that struggle so well. So hats off to all three. :D
My comment is one year late but I totally agree. In many stories spiderman goes through hardships, disappointments in life and many loses but at the end of it all he still manages to direct himself to the right path. The character has incredible abilities and could easily use his powers for evil or to make his life easier... but he willingly chooses not to do immoral actions. For all his sufferings he still tries to remain pure in heart. So for that reason Andrew's interpretation resonated more to me.
Ummm tobey wasn’t either lol he was boring as Peter, and not so amazing as Spider-Man. Garfield was actually the most balanced. With Holland right next to him.

In my opinion all the people who portrayed Spider-Man were all unique in their own ways. Now my favorite is Tobey Maguire because I grew up off of his versions, but damn... no hate towards any of the other actors/movies man. They still be bringing our favorite superhero’s back to life for us to experience 😤🙌🥺✊

The difference between these spider man movies and the new ones is that these ones focus more on the character and his story, the new ones focus on the action, and heroism part. I loved the character development of the original spider man movies, and wish they did something like that with the new movies!

An Amazing Tribute, to what was an Amazing film series. Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the first Spider-Man film I saw in theaters. This tribute brought back that kid watching the movie in the theater.

you can complain a lot about the reboot’s and they’re very valid. But the deeper emotional aspects of the reboots and chemistry between Andrew and Emma is unmatched.
I don't give a fuck what anybody say, TASM present what Spiderman and Peter really are, guy who give a hope to people, guy who bring children out to fight evil, guy who smile at the end of the day after all scars he got, reality all people around world live, pain, happiness, suffer, enjoyment, that everyting that put ur in the path u will live your life until the death, but most important this is that u always give ur 100% no matter what.
