You have to use "treated poles". These are the kind of poles the electricity companies use for power transmission. You can buy the chemicals and "treat" the poles in your own kiyenyegi (local ) way. Sometimes you can use tarpaulin to wrap up the poles as well. Hope this advice helps a little, from Kampala 🇺🇬
