How do you know that the aging demographics in HB would be able to afford living in the facility & more would come from out of town. It is your job to make a facility fit the property - thats what the Planning Commission is for. Why was it allowed to get this out of hand to get this far to possibly lead to a court case? This is where the Planning Commission is lacking! These types of facilities usually cost about $5,000 or more per month. Unless the State assists with costs, this is untenable for the average HB resident. Traffic is always underestimated & doesn’t include visitor parking.
I live @ Main & Delaware & have had 3 major apartment buildings built within a 1/2 mile area! One behind Denny’s, one 350 unit apartment building at Delaware & Main, & one on Garfield & Main. This means at least 1,200 - 1,500 new apartment dwellers. Has the City figured out how this will affect HB schools in the area, Fire Department, Police, Traffic, water & sewage, electrical, internet & street maintenance etc. The 350 unit apartment building was built so close to the Pacifica building that you could walk thru & touch both buildings. It has also has blocked all of the windows at the Pacifica building. This property has a zero property line & runs from Florida to Delaware! Where’s been the planning here? We’re just tearing down, rebuilding and cramming everything in. You’re only worried about apartment dwellers and not the residents that live in HB!

Very few seniors can afford the monthly cost of this monstrosity.

Nursing homes are awful. Is it going to be a nursing home that just will allow rich people?
