At the end Ortega was didn't immediately let go but when he did it seemed like he had the choke so cinched up and locked in that he had to untangle himself while the Ref is pushing him.

Both fightters are so good Yair has amazing stiking specially with those kicks Ortega has very good jui jujitsu he is the only one that was so close to submit Volk something not even Max could do.
I was rooting for Ortega and I'm glad he was able to pull it off even after breaking his own talon before the fight! Also, Yair looked like he blew his load trying to finish Ortega in the first round. He looked gassed in the second and third. Yair would explode and then nothing. Can't wait to see Sea Level Yair fight again.

The media members asked about Ortega fighting Max next. Do they want to get him killed? Do they not remember max trying to teach him how to block punches because he felt bad for the absolute beating he was giving Ortega. He was out a year after max destroyed him. Then he got destroyed by volk. Come on he's not ready, and he definitely doesn't deserve a title shot again. Look up his record and see how long he was out after both title fights he was given. Max and volk destroyed him so bad he missed about a year after each fight. What do u think ilia would do? You give him the winner of aljo vs katter and see how he performs in that fight. A max or ilia fight could end him. Let him get a fight or two more so he builds skill and confidence before you throw him to the wolves that Max and ilia are.
Striking wasn't up to where it needed to be, improved on that. Wrestling wasn't where it needed to be, in a few months he's majorly improved on that. Ortega looked great, especially when you consider the fact of where his head would have been immediately starting that fight with the ankle. Getting caught. Really impressive and exciting fight.
