It’s Just crazy to think everything is left to rot away down there! Since watching the documentary I can’t stop watchingvideos on this place! The more I think how we import coal when there are all these capped off mines below us with years off coal left boils my piss! So many good hard working men lost their jobs! At the same time so many jobs could be created again !

Fascinating as F lol i dont know if that is my yorkshire-ness coming out, i used to live not far from caphouse colliery, one fantastic museum now for sure, but now i live not far from chatterley whitfield, a humongus amount of history too as was also a museum back in the day, i feel drawn to them if anything, as a plant operator anyways, i would have loved to a been a longwall-operator cutting the seam 👌an amazing machine,

The owner or government should have sold the mine to the miners for a £ 10 pound note instead of leaving all the equipment and buildings to rot underground and be demolished above ground ..
