I have been working on a riffle shuffle where you let the corners fall into place very similar to what you are showing. However, I like your technique better since you are using the entire edge of the card. Either way I just don't like bending my cards with the traditional shuffle. Thanks for sharing. ED

Hi Ed, I'm so glad you found this useful! At one point I experimented with the corners method as well, but it just didn't quite work out for me. Anyways, thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts 😊

      Hi Magick-
I'm still "chucking" the first few cards before I get the other cards flowing individually. I have studied your instructions several times and just using a slight pressure, as you suggested, with my palms. Any suggestions to start the first cards smoothly. Ed

Putting pressure downwards using the palm sides is more so for keeping the card piles relatively in place so that they don't fly around. To get the cards flowing and riffling, it's more to do with getting the card piles slanted just enough, so that when you start to flick through the cards upwards with your thumbs, you should be able to more or less feel the individual cards fall down one by one. If it's the first few that aren't going, then perhaps you can check if the bottom of your card piles are slanted enough. The piles of cards should both be slanted uniformly for best results, so that they fall down evenly one by one. Not sure if that helps clarify the process, let me know how it goes!

Hi, My tarot cards were bent when I first opened the box, even though they were brand new, so it might be a manufacturing defect. Is there any way to fix this? Thank you so much :(((

I would try to contact the seller first to see if an exchange is possible!
Otherwise if there is no dent on the cards and it's just that the cards are warped, I suppose you could try to carefully bend the cards back the other way. It might be better to do this with the whole deck rather than each card individually, I think there's less chance of accidently overbending that way.
I would also recommend storing the deck in a sturdy box instead of directly in a fabric pouch, if it's not something you're already doing! This will help the cards maintain their shape. Hope this helps 😅
