Im actually impressed that Baker was able to throw that Hail Mary as well as he did. Godwin only needed to turn a second faster and he couldve had it
Baker’s always had a cannon for an arm. Seemed like everyone on both teams either lost track of the ball or thought it wouldn’t make it to the end zone

As much as the Bills dominated this game, it's amazing they could have very easily lost it on that Mary.
I see evry1 talkin about how good the pass was and how godwin shoulda turned around and i agree with both, but im almost certain the bills committed pi on the hail marry. There were 2 bills grabbing and holding 1 buc receiver were he coultn go anywere and another bills defender grabbed i belive godwin and turned him around a bit b4 the ball got there. Thats at least 2 instances of pi that i saw from multiple looks at it and no1 is talkin about it.

Yes, that is not good. I saw several unnecessary mistakes from the Bills defense, like tackles that were too easily broken and the pass defense not concentrated. Why were they lying on the floor when that Hail Mary came in??

Baker's hail mary was incredible, he was somewhat under pressure and he still threw it perfectly. Sad ending for the bucs.
Pro sports are as rigged as it gets. I could not play along with the refs manufacturing dramatic finishes and orchestrating comebacks. I'd seriously be out of the league for hitting a ref, and I'm not talking like what Orlando Brown did in Cleveland, I mean I'd lay the ref out cold.
On the last play a pass interference call should of been called. Tampa got the game stolen from them

Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are done. You can just tell that they don't want to play in Tampa anymore. I started noticing it during Brady's last season. Neither player is separating like they used to. Wait till they force their way out at the end of the season.

He got like 5/6 passes and outside of two they were forced into the tightest coverage ever. While Evans had 4 guys covering him the whole night. If this receiving core isn’t playing well they might as well slap their coordinator and put in Canada

I’ve always been a fan of Baker and wish him success in the NFL. Idk what exactly it is I like about him but he seems like a cool dude that leaves it all on the field every game. (Steelers fan here)
I'm a Ravens fan and I like that.he doesn't quit. Even when that organization allowed him to sabotage himself when he was playing through that bad shoulder injury he still look to persevere. I don't know as of yet if he is the longterm answer for the Bucs but inshallah he does become that guy for them.
i know what it is I like about him, he's rags to riches. first player ever to win the heisman after walking on shows the type of fight and dedication we all wish we had. I also like a dude that'll dance in the locker room with his teamates and peg you with the football if you intentionally violate their practice field before the game...now he's just still fighting for everything and none of it has been easy, and most of us can relate to that

He's so easy to root for...seems to always leave it all out there..he makes mistakes but you can't fault his sheer will and drive...it'll win you games more often than not. He strikes me as someone who just wants to be trusted

The Godwin touchdown pass and reception was incredible. Pass was just far enough so the defender can't get it but barely reachable for Godwin.

I guess any win is a good win..let’s be real they beat the Buccs who literally can’t run the ball, 20th ranked defense, 27th against the pass and 23rd ranked offense..and they won by 6 at home…the issues haven’t gone anywhere.
The Bills have serious concerns on both defense and offense the past four games.

Man Al Michaels' call at 10:56 was brutal. Holy balls man that was a huge stop and he couldn't have been more apathetic. I'm not a big Joe Buck guy but I can hear him yelling "And MURRAY is STOPPED! Devin White with the tackle.... and the Bucs get another shot." Michaels sounds like he's giving a stranger directions to Old Country Buffet.

For a team sporting a 3-4 record in my opinion Head Coach Bowles and staff are doing a great job with what they have. As a bills fan, that last Tampa Bay touchdown drive was frustrating with the multiple 4th down penalties that kept the drive alive. In particular the face mask penalty by Phillips was stupid since he had the TB player wrapped up.

This was a good win. Keeping the bucs in the game by getting 2 4th down flags in a row followed by 2 lucky passes into the end zone. Alot closer than I needed to be. But definitely a better game than the last 3 weeks

Now the Bills head into the most difficult part of their schedule---Bengals, Eagles, Cowboys, Chiefs, and a rematch with the Jets (3 of these games on the road). They can't afford to have their offense start "slow" in any of these games
Buffalo played a great clean game. A few more points on the board would have taken the pressure off their defense at the end, but they’re back in their rythem. Now they just need to step it up a few more notches against these top tier teams that they will be up against.
This was a great win for the bills they have a great offense with Allen on the team what a great win for the bills.
Life long bills fan here that was not a great win we should have lost. We got very lucky on the last play very lucky. The first half play calling sucked as usual especially on the goal line. We got lucky it should have been over in the first half.

Tampa is 31st in yards per carry, and dead last 32nd on the road (2.8 ypc).
My takeaways from this game: 1) Bills are just aight. 2) If Tampa had a mid-tier running game to pair with a very good defense and a serviceable passing game, they would actually be kind of feisty.
It's thats oline. Notice when baker checks down to the rbs, they gain yards? It's no coincidence. The rbs can run, they just don't have the blocking they need. Not to mention the unacceptable penalties, if baker had more time... I get it, says every team ever. But it is a real difference maker when you see these more balanced offenses

It's good to see Josh Allen running again, but I still don't think the Bills are playing anywhere near their potential.
Nice PI on the final play. The Bills players tackled the TE before the ball even got there. Tampa should have had an untimed play on the 1 yard line for a chance to win the game.
Dalton Kincaid, Gabe Davis and Khalil Shakir have been all contributed to a great offensive output when Stefon Diggs was covered. The offense has to develop a ground attack and not put so much of the ownst on Josh Allen to win them games every time

They need to just let Allen play his game. You don't want him to get hurt risk the investment but at the same time letting him just be him is what got him the big money. By letting Josh have fun and be loose that would mean running the best running play in their playback. Shotgun JA17 power nearly unstoppable short yardage need to move chains bring that play call back in the play book.

As an ex resident of orchard park every winter the snow would , build up so high many placed their mail boxes on top of telephone poles . The Bills have great pass protection. An move the ball well passing .Yet running, the offensive line is having trouble driving for tight yards in clutch situations. Believe they will be a contender in the play offs this season .

The Bills manage to escape this game. They just don't scare anyone. This was a home game that came down to the wire. I don't see the Bills going very far this year. They're probably a wild card team that gets bounced in the first round.
People acting surprised by Baker's throw on the Hail Mary is hilarious, he literally holds the NFL record for the longest pass ever in a game.
It's incorrect though. That throw was measured at 70.5 air yards, there are multiple 72-73 yarders that Next Gen Stats just straight up overlooked.

Love that the Bills went for it at that 4th-and-goal early in the 2nd quarter. So many coaches choose to kick the field goal there, despite the fact that going for it on 4th-and-goal in the first three quarters and the game within a score is one of the lowest-risk calls there is.
If you fail, they have a full field to cover and your defense can force a punt. If you succeed, you're one score up. The chances of a pick-six are also very low. I think it was last two weeks where the Patriots had a 4th-and-goal in the first three minutes of the game and chose to kick the field goal. They lost the game. The Bills went for it, failed, forced a punt immediately and eventually won the game.
Also, a good Thursday night game. Go figure.

Good win for Buffalo, especially for keeping pace with Miami in the division, but ideally you wanna make the ending not quite as heart attack-inducing as it almost was. With games against CIN, NYJ, KC, PHI and DAL coming up soon, the Bills better be ready to prove they're real contenders.

I’m impressed by Baker Mayfield’s Hail Mary play; but he was under pressure and threw the ball perfectly into the receivers, so he didn’t get a game-winning play for a touchdown.
I was not impressed.
Eh, it was what it was: a Hail Mary. There have been plenty of decent Hail Mary passes over the years but at the end of the day, it only matters if there's a TD attached to it. 🤷♂️

@@deemity7557 No, I root for Buffalo because I hate New England a lot and I want to see Buffalo or Miami win the division over them and plus, Pittsburgh likely won't make the playoffs until proven otherwise. I would like to also not see New England be good for a while, I want them to know what it's like to experience pain like the rest of us.
