As an ex Rotherham guy , now living in Calgary , Alberta, Canada this was a pleasant surprise. Glad I found you on You Tube, I can hardly recognize Rotherham now, the video brought back loads of memories. I did my engineering & business training at the Rotherham Arts & Technology College. before leaving for Peterborough to work at Perkins Engines. I used to work at Shardlows on Grangemill Lane, Meadowhall, I know that business has gone now. I remember shops let's see , Greg's, Turveys, C&A, , Woolworths, WH Smith, BHS etc. Thank You for doing this video it brought back so many memories of my college days & training.
Thank you for your nice comments. Glad you enjoyed it, you will getter a better overall picture with the others I've done and perhaps you could jigsaw them together.
@@Rotherman Do you remember Ferrari's Italian restaurant on High street? We used to go there for all our office celebrations when I worked at Grattan's, it was really popular back in the day.
It's years since I was in the centre, I still come up to visit family I'm surprised to see so many people. I worked at the college until I retired and came down to Stourbridge.
I can assure you your fanbase isn't just 70 year old women lol. I love watching these vids and learning some of the history of the town i live in. I'm 31 and discovered you by accident but really enjoy the content
It's changed a lot since I lived there John. I remeber Paul Feltham worked at the butchers shop in the indoor market, we used to go and buy broken biscuits and then go and chat to him.
