I swear I never thought I’d hear another group like Bel Canto - but I was wrong! Without question, one of the most hauntingly beautiful voices in music.
I traveled from Ohio to Brooklyn to see them as the opening act at a concert, and when they got to that "moment," it blew the entire King's Theater crowd away.
Technically flawless but perhaps lacking a little in emotion on the night? Unlike Golden Ticket, Lover really needs a more intimate venue. Also, as the Norwegian Radio Orchestra was there, and Ingrid only recently worked with them (with Alan Walker) on a live version of Faded, I'm mildly disappointed they didn't experiment with orchestral backing on either or both of the songs. Now I'm going to my air raid shelter before the flak starts.
"I've learned a lesson about bad ideas...we're all in the middle of it now." It's melancholy, and given the "muddling through" that the world is doing at the moment...the solemnity of the music, production and lyrics feel spot on. #personalopinions
