Is it possible to get that synthetic sound on something for $1000 or less?

Most definitely! In this case, I paid just $50 for the Kawai you see me playing, and I think under $150 for the Lexicon effects unit I'm running it through. Granted, the Kawai needed a LOT of work to get it in the condition you see it, but electronically, it worked perfectly when it arrived. (Read the video description for all the details). So if you're handy, and dont mind putting in some effort, you can get this or very similar sound for much much less than 1k if you're patient and buy smart. But even if you're not mechanically or electronically inclined like I am, the market is kind of cool now and prices aren't as high as in the past. Ebay is a great place to start for picking up good deals. EBay and Reverb are the two platforms where I purchased 95% of the items in my collection, which presently numbers well over 100 different vintage synthesizers and rack mount effects units. There is another 'Jump' cover here on RUclips where the guy is using Kawai K1 II, and it sounds fabulous! The K1 and K1 II can be bought dirt cheap (less than $250) in good playing condition nowadays too. And don't let the price fool you, they are powerful machines. Obviously, the K1 II is the more desirable of the two. There are plenty other brands/options too that are just as capable, and likely just as inexpensive as well.

Work on timing, overall really good

Thank you. I know, my timing is absent the venue, haha. What I REALLY need to be doing is staying behind the workbench (doing what I AM good at), instead of messing around in such uncharted territories as verse. I never had any formal musical training, and it sure shows 😁Thanks again for the compliment. Cheers 😃

@@dshmechanic that’s alright man I’m getting good with my music and I’m always around the workbench too, cars and music is my thing, don’t have to be perfect at everything but I did enjoy the video

Sorry. Granted, as stated in the description, I'm by no means a musician (I don't even read music), but I have an excellent ear for pitch/key. I've been playing this intro for years, and the key I am playing it in here matches perfectly with the original. Maybe your ears are slow?
