I honestly really enjoyed Season 4, especially the finale. It's just this was a season to crank up the events that'll lead onto season 5 which I assume will be pure chaotic

This season we got A train redemption, Homelander becoming President, Butcher going full in on his villainous arc basically, a lot happened, we had a whole ahh Diddy party,
I thought the first three episodes we got were decent but not as great as the previous seasons. But pretty much from four and onwards it got a lot better for me, finding its footing and ended incredibly with a perfect finale, really setting up next season well. Also appreciate that the last episode wasn’t the boys fighting Homelander and narrowly getting away from him again.
Even though it felt to be a weak season in terms of the story, I still liked, like I liked how crazy homelander was, and the sister sage character too, I also really liked A-train redemption arc, however I didn’t like frenchies and kimko story they had at the beginning was pointless, also was weird for the show runner to be saying hughie getting SA multiple times was” funny”to them. Overall hope they take the feedback to just try to tell the story they showing and not rely to heavy on shock value
He narrowly missed being ripped apart by Homelander, accidentally turmed his dad into a killing machine then had to let his dad die, got molested by Tek Knight and Ashley, got tricked into sleeping with a stranger but the writers want us to feel sorry for Starlight for some reason.
Season 5 is going to be the coup de grace 🔥 and I can’t wait for it, makes sense why they are ending it after 5 seasons, wish they can do more after the 5th season lol 😂 but very thankful we still got a live action “The Boys”

I think people don't remember the previous seasons when they complain about season 4 having too much set up or filler. Go back to season 1, the whole season was setting up the Boys getting together. Pretty much the only thing the Boys accomplished in season 1 was kill Translucent and learn about compound V. And Homelander's plot was about getting supes into the military. Season 2 was about the Boys trying to get information about the history of Vought and compound V. They managed to release information about V to the public but it didn't bring down Vought or the supes, all it did was cause a big PR nightmare for Vought and crashed stock prices for a short time, but Vought recovered in a few months. Season 3 is when they actually started making some real progress towards killing Homelander. And I don't see how you can say the scale was lower, Homelander and Sage literally planning the overthrow and take over lf the US government. Starlight having her dirty laundry aired out was Sage's plan. Sage wanted to discredit Starlight and neutralize her as a threat to Homelander. A lot of the season was misdirection by Sage. She made people think she wass trying to make Neuman the president so the focus would be on Neuman, but she hee true goal was to get rid of both Neuman and Singer so Calhoun can step in.
Not only was this season weaker, but the political undertones was greatly abused and leaning way to left where as previous seasons were more open to making fun of both political parties. The political bias this season was pretty obvious and very disappointing. All and all a very bad season 😒
I thought butchers story was incredibly enticing had me hooked and the pay off with the tumour is awesome, Ryan is also super dope. But yeah everyone else was mostly meh, kimikos finlly was cool but felt lack luster

The season was good for me. A few meandering plotlines and felt like some retreading familiar notes. I agree with the Frenchie stuff, we didnt need his new boyfriend to come in so heavily it almost didnt make sense only to be thrown out after a few episodes. Wasnt really a fan of the Hughie dad stuff, felt very out of place and drawn out. Starlight+hughie in general felt flatter than other seasons too and she was kinda annoying this time around. I like how it all tied together in the end but if you think too hard about it, none of these story plots really mattered by the end of the season

I’m rewatching season one and honestly, it feels weaker than 4. I think 4 ended up being great despite a weak start
