When I was in my teens and twenties I felt immortal. I actually love this sound but not the visuals. As a kid my parents would go to parties and (not heavy drug parties) the kids would usually have some form of entertainment away from the adults, maybe a TV set up with some kids movies or video games but I would always sneak out and explore far away from the party because I loved the night time. It was different back then, not so many things in the dark to be afraid of. I always had this very strange sensation, a kind of meditative peace, it's very hard to describe but it would always be to some distant loud music blasting away. I would just lie on some grass, looking at the stars for hours while loud music plays in the distance. Those were the best times of my childhood.

I don't quite know how to describe how this video makes me feel. I think it's some form of sadness or remorse. This nostaligic and upbeat song playing at a party, and a girl dead on a couch, overdosed. The lack of attention put to a young life lost tragically like this... I don't know, I'm kind of drunk. I just keep getting it recommended, and every time I watch it and feel my heart sink. I'm probably around her age, and I couldn't fathom ignoring a girl clearly needing help like this... She had hopes, dreams and aspirations. And now, she is dead. A life with so much potential being so fleeting just hurts so deeply. Maybe I'm reading too much into this. I don't know.

I know it's just "haha funni" , but this really does feel impactful to me. It pretty accurately encapsulates what it feels like to watch everyone around you being happy and excited about life when you yourself can't be.
And here I thought I was the only one feeling like that. That awful moment when all your friends, acquaintances and relatives move on with their lives at their relative peace. Some in a hard way, some in an easy way, but they move regardless... and then there are others, kinda like me, who just try to enjoy "the moment" but we can't see the grim future and then we go back to reality where it always feels the same.

This is a very specific feeling, and this song is the perfect example of it. The feeling of emotional isolation, even surrounded by dozens if not hundreds of others overtaken by the joy of a banger like this, there is still something that makes you take off into the bathroom, or an unused room if it's a house party, etc. The physical and auditory separation of the walls echos the emotional separation.

When I was in my teens and twenties I felt immortal. I did a lot of dumb shit because my parents wasn't strict at all (I didn't escape completely unscathed though so I'm not really proud/happy about the dumb shit I did). As you get older, the literal fear of death starts to creep up. That's why parents are strict, because they forgot that young people should feel immortal. I don't party anymore but it's sad that either a) the world is really scary nowadays or b) young people think the world is scary. I don't know because I basically became a hermit and I make a point of ignoring the world. What I'm trying to say is we didn't really give a shit about danger back in the day but we also didn't grow up in a world with "news feeds" and constant "notifications" when something shit happens somewhere.
That kind of bleed is a BAD sign, also all the hard drugs are laced nowadays which is terrible for first timers.

What's kinda funny is I've been (and still go ) to parties in which I saw the most innocent looking cute petite girls doing hard drugs and getting drunk 30 minutes in. There was this one she was only 22 years old she was high AF as soon as the party started, she kept singing opera tunes until she blacked out. At another party a young sweet shy looking girl came with a roses bouquet, as a gift for the party's host. Later she was so high she began to eat the roses one by one. Lmao. Girls can be wild.

Now it is unlikely that she will be able to get out of drug addiction and this is most likely the end for her. This absolutely terrible situation, combined with the happy music and cheerful energy in the hall, creates an incredibly disturbing feeling, as if you are looking into the abyss. Drugs are not a way out of a shitty situation, it’s worth remembering.

In addition to your points, I say it hits harder when because when its a real person on the news, we distance ourselves for our own sanity and well being for good reason. Though, there is no such barrier here because we make ourselves more available to be attached to such characters. You dont think of them as a full independent person, but rather a part of you that can think. A ton of times I find myself liking a certain character just based off their looks or a singular personality trait even if I know nothing about them. I dont want to see anything bad happen to them especially if I end up really liking them.
Here, we both made that connection, and we are seeing them at their lowest and probably fucking dying in a way that maybe if someone was there, they could have prevented. (Mainly speaking for myself) We want that to be us, because that is a thing we can relate to sadly enough. We want to be the person who saves them, and to be comforted when we reach that low.

The song seems distant, which indicates a clear seperation from the happiness and party feel it's projecting. There's a fun party and you're standing on the outside. But also it's SO upbeat that it breaks the immersion you should be feeling, further increasing the divide between the song's vibes, which almost seem fake, which adds another layer.
And then if you're like me and grew up on old youtube, this is all multiplied because this fad happened so long ago and so much time has passed.

I actually love this sound but not the visuals. As a kid my parents would go to parties and (not heavy drug parties) the kids would usually have some form of entertainment away from the adults, maybe a TV set up with some kids movies or video games but I would always sneak out and explore far away from the party because I loved the night time. It was different back then, not so many things in the dark to be afraid of. I always had this very strange sensation, a kind of meditative peace, it's very hard to describe but it would always be to some distant loud music blasting away. I would just lie on some grass, looking at the stars for hours while loud music plays in the distance. Those were the best times of my childhood.
