for $450 I will pass I guess i'm the only one that doesn't really have a problem pushing the pin and sliding on the pto as long as you spray wd40 on it. It always works for me. If it was like $50 i would try it but I don't think it will save me that much frustration for $450

That will be so handy for my dad because of his arthritis his hands don't work good anymore so he will be able to put his Bush Hog on by his self again he's going to love that thank you Josh
When you hook it up with the 3 point hitch just lift it level so you can easily turn the pto shaft to fit perfectly in you pto connection. It does not takes 30 seconds to do it
Orrrrrrr: keep your PTO shaft clean and well lubed and the shaft coupler will slide right on..... One thing I don't like about the coupler doodad is that the mechanical connection seems loose and sets up a vibration.

I have definitely had a lot of problems connecting and disconnecting pto shafts on older equipment, so I can certainly see the benefits of a system like this. However, at $370 plus shipping cost, the price is a little outside of my comfort zone. These days I'm working (infrequently) with a new tractor and a new rotary cutter, and having less trouble making the connection. I've had one for several years - they are GREAT !. Simply put the one on the tractor and the other goes on an implement. Change implements ? change the part. Easy when you simply do it on the option. Now no pull back and push at the same time to get the spline aligned. J. DEER is selling a like version now.

@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I guess I’m more used to buying used equipment, so what a dealer does has rarely been on my radar screen. I agree, seems like it adds a few inches to the PTO shaft. Could bust your PTO housing if the implement is forced upwards (i.e. tractor going up onto a trailer with implement dragging). Nice concept though!
You definitely need to check for that, and shorten the shaft as much as necessary. I bottomed out the shaft once on an old John Deere 65hp tractor and bent the pto splined shaft inside of the tractor. I had to spend about $1K to replace the parts. It was my own fault for driving the tractor/mower through a gully that was too narrow and too deep, but it was a lesson learned the hard way.

To me that looks more difficult than the regular shaft. Seems like a solution to a problem that never existed. Just my opinion though. Keep it all lubricated and never have a problem
On some implement/tractor combinations you would have to cut your pto shaft down a few inches for this to work. We a have pto tiller that we had to shorten the shaft just get it to hook up, and that was for my Dad's tractor a 45 horse New Holland, only way I can hook to it with my Kubota 2800 is I have to hook up the pto first and then hook up the 3 point. All you have to do is spray some pcl on the inside of your drive shaft once or twice a year depending on use and keep your spline clean you won’t have trouble
If you have one tractor and five implements, you would not need five complete sets of this device, just one on the tractor and five of the other half. Hope they offer it that way. I only take my slasher off the tractor when I want to use the post hole digger, about once a year. Can see the benefit of this device, you still have to hold the weight of the pto shaft while hooking it up. Knowing how it works is a major factor in releasing the pin on the standard coupling. Once I figured that out it was a lot easier. Keeping the PTO shaft lubricated is also important so it slides well as it expands.
I think the nay sayers are missing the point. This increases the visibility of the work, and it eliminates the need to line up splines by feel. It also moves the connection point away from the chassis, which can be a tight space to work in, especially on compact tractors.
wherever there's something new and innovative...there will always be nay sayers....wherever there is someone successful....there will always be haters too....I love the PTO link and have it on all my machines!
Josh, you need to more enthusiastic about the PTO Link. Its like sliced bread, nothing greater. Currently, I only have a tiller that uses my rear PTO on my Deere 1023. But hooking the PTO up was always a pain, not to mention the tight space to work in. The PTO Link is one of the best accessories I've bought for my tractor. Better than the seat cover! 🤣🤣
I have a woods 990 finish mower. Cant turn pto shaft by hand. I have to put a bar in the u joint. Slips on really easy once lined up. Would that help or still have to us bar?
I forgot to push the pin down when I connected my implement (bush hog) to my tractor. It began to spin and then BANG, it stopped. There is nothing visibly broken but now it does not spin and the PTO Light is blinking. What could have happened? Is it a simple fix?
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer well I got a frontier, same everything except the color. From the day it was new it's always cut half of the stop. Deere wouldn't do anything for me either

That will make the best doorstop to keep your shop walk door from slamming in the wind. Better JB weld a little keeper chain to that pin, after that gets dropped for the third time(I know all to well how arthritic fingers hold small things) that whole adapter is gonna fly further than a NFL quarterback can throw a football. Good review but it is way to pricy for me. I just keep the tractor pto covered when not in use and greased up well when I do have it uncovered. That is not to say that some PTO shafts are not like wrestling an bear sometimes but for what that cost, I will just try to do better.
Very cool adaptor to simplify pto hook up. Sure looks easier! I would put anti-seize on the splines just to control rust while the adaptors stay in place over time. Thanks for the review!
When you have arthritic hands, it's very difficult to depress the pin. And do any of you "nay sayers": have any idea the cost of buying metal ? Machining? Painting? Distributing? Shipping? etc. This is a well designed tool that helps people.
I keep WD-40 on all my tractors. It makes hookup easy. The biggest problem I have is the PTO shaft sliding if I don't keep them oiled or greased. I don't think I would get any benefit from it because I keep my shafts and hookups working slick. Just wipe the dust off the PTO shaft on the tractor and spray with WD-40. But I can see how some people would be happy with it.

wherever there's something new and innovative...there will always be nay sayers....wherever there is someone successful....there will always be haters too....I love the PTO link and have it on all my machines!
I'm really having trouble seeing the value in this. I'd probably be looking at 3pt quick hitches before looking into something like this.
perfect for use with a quick hitch....lengthens your PTO shaft for proper fitment
Where is the end of the PTO shaft relative to the safety shield (which is not installed on your demo tractor)?
I'm starting a farm in Louisiana and use my tractor slot.
How do I get them to send me one of these to review?
I guess get 150 million views on social media lol
WOOOOOOO!
The word of the day is "detent".
de·tent
/dəˈtent/
noun
a catch in a machine which prevents motion until released.
Josh, I got a question kinda off topic. That tarter cutter you have. Do you like it? Please be honest cause I have a story about one.
Mine cuts great
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer well I got a frontier, same everything except the color. From the day it was new it's always cut half of the stop. Deere wouldn't do anything for me either
frontier isn't tarter as far as I know....Frontier brand I believe is Woods...ask your dealer. I'm not sure what "half of the stop" is...slow down and keep blades in good shape maybe...I'm not sure what ya mean. Tarter isn't frontier though
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I work for a Deere dealer and woods makes a few of the grooming mowers, but the frontier cutters are made by tarter. They look identical except the color. And I had new blades on it, I ended up selling it and it still does the same thing. By the way I mowed at 3 mph to 5mph. Nothing helped. And on top of that the place I bought it from refused to help me.
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I appreciate you getting back to me on this topic. It shows how good of a guy you are. Thanks again.
Going to have to get one of these for the MF 35 deluxe. Pops will appreciate it
would there be any power loss from this, like with an impact gun any extra connections have some power loss
The added 4 or 5 inches in length would help compensate for a quick hitch system.
Looks like a good gift
Until I looked up the price tag, wowza
I guess putting it into perspective, we'll buy a cell phone that costs $1000 and a flat screen TV that costs $600. I think it's well worth the money..I'm buying one for my dad next
seems like more of a PItA than the regular ,, plus you have to worry about not dropping that pin.. (Plus--- show that after 4-5 years after it get's rusted/wore out)
Where can I purchase a ROPS and canopy for a MF 240 just like that one?
What is the smallest size tractor u can use it on
Cool adapter!
That darn'd ole PTO connect'n jeza 'bout duz me in evry time. I'ms gunna go gits me one of dem...fer sure! Thank ya Josh! I'll tell'm you sent me!
lol...love the picture bubba...use that coupon if you decide to get one for sure
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Oh yehaw, me and coup'n go's 'gether like peanut n Jelly... will do.
Was hear.
Looks handy. Wooooo!
That is a good tool I wouldn't mind having one the only thing that would make it better if it didn't cost so much.
Good stuff buddy
That’s awesome
Definitely ordering one of them suckas! Pretty dang slick
At that price you could pay the neighbor kid a sawbuck and a chocolate chip cookie to hook\unhook for you. Just having' a little fun with ya SRF.
Good review but it is way to pricy for me. I just keep the tractor pto covered when not in use and greased up well when I do have it uncovered. That is not to say that some PTO shafts are not like wrestling an bear sometimes but for what that cost, I will just try to do better.
My only concern would be you are taking one point of possible failure and turning it into 3 possible points of failure. Do you share this concern?
Sorry, but the price isn't anywhere in the ballpark for this.
Money won't save our backs....and won't buy us a new one...but it will buy the right tools to keep us out of the doctor's office my brother
doesn’t hurt to put a few drops of oil on the shaft and keeper pin once and a while, even on that attachment
Very cool adaptor to simplify pto hook up. Sure looks easier! I would put anti-seize on the splines just to
control rust while the adaptors stay in place over time. Thanks for the review!
Seen it before. :)
hmm...I don't think you've seen my video before lol
:), Not your video,,,,, the product. Wish I had it a LONG time ago.
When you have arthritic hands, it's very difficult to depress the pin. And do any of you "nay sayers": have any idea the cost of buying metal ? Machining? Painting? Distributing? Shipping? etc. This is a well designed tool that helps people.
it honestly does!! and the quick attach working in hand with it is super awesome!
It's the bottom links I hate. By the time I have them sorted coupling up the PTO feels like a holiday!
Lubricant shaft coupling regularly you won't have trouble and save yourself a fortune 😉
Where's the link?
PT...Oh so nice 👍 now
What's up stoney ridge!
Hello
I really like that PTO shaft. Pretty cool. Thanks Josh👍👍👍❤️
