wow! you were in Sosua for a month and never went to the beach? that's the main reason I go to Sosua! I hope you still enjoyed your stay. I loved Ocean Village too when we were there.

If you buy a house there do you then have access to all amenities? Is it just because you're renting that you didn't?
Hi there, I stayed there years ago and I enquired about the amenities. You pay a reduced rate for the gym and I believe you can use the other pool without costs. Now they have an outdoor gym and more playgrounds so who knows if you have to pay for them. I doubt it.

I was wondering what is the connection between Sosua being a settlemnt founded by Jews escaping the Nazies, and the fact that it is now filled with so many Germans?
Many of the Jewish refugees were German. And they migrated in the late 1930's to escape the Nazis. There is actually a lot of publications on this that you can find online. We didn't have a chance to go but there is a museum in Sosua that also displays the history and story's of some of the families.
