- [Reupload from my other channel] Gerrard Square was one of the malls I frequented since childhood - so let's have a journey through time and look at some of the changes the mall has gone through since the 1970s. Originally uploaded February 20, 2019.
Malls really helped you feel part of the current zeitgeist somehow as everyone was there actively a part of it. Who would have ever thought that we would pine for the good old days of the mall and what it represented and how it made us feel as part of our lives. Fond memories of a simpler time for sure. Excellent Video Man! It's really cool to see videos of malls outside the US, that are harder for some of us to see. It's also nice to hear about malls people hold a little more near and dear to their livelihood!
I grew up in that area, GS still looks like a '70s mall. If you like to be sent back in time GS does the trick.
It’s good to see this again. Has anything changed here since 2019? It would be interesting to see if it has. My home town has changed so much in the past 5 years, it’s hard to remember what some parts used to look like! Look forward to more in this series, Eddie! ☺️
Actually not really much has changed. The only big change is this is now my neighbourhood mall again since I live right by it 😂
