Cheers to you!! Big same- I've lost count of all the time music has pulled me from the void. Punk and ska music especially. Glad you're still alive and a living example of not letting the bastards grind ya down! Keep your head, knees and PMA up and swinging elbows, baby! ❤️
Maybe you never had the chance to listen to it from a decent speaker. I still like music with a lot of distortion bc I grew up with cheap headphones and speakers
Hey kablamers keep your heiner in the recliner still to come prometheus and bob...life with loopy and when we return more action league now only on kablam!
I am skanking in the kitchen to this in celebration of having just been fired from--apparently--that guy in the video's job. So long and thanks for all the rent checks and beer, you suckers!
Yes, it played before the commercial breaks (when they would announce upcoming segments in an episode). Also was the end credits music in one episode for some reason.
Sounds great at 0.75x speed. I saw the Toasters play this song in ‘97, at one of the few ska shows I’ve ever attended. Did they get the title lyric from U2’s song “Acrobat,” or is it just a commonly-used phrase in the U.K.?
The quote goes back at least as far as WWII. It’s from a (fake) Latin phrase (I looked it up and have already forgotten it) made up by a British military officer, and it caught on. I’ve heard it my whole life (in the US) as “Don’t let the bastards get you down.”
As someone who works in retail this song is therapeutic.
As a former Brit who grew up with all the Two Tone music...this is great!
former???

My son and his band the Badabings met the Toaster's sax player at one of their gigs in ATL last night. Very cool.
This song is putting a smile on my face at the exact moment I needed a smile on my face. #hardworklongdayslonghours
Really love how much louder the bass seems mixed in this video

I love Yorkshire. That’s my homeland, but I’ve never been there. Cheers.
Sledge!!!! Best Toasters trumpet ever!

Ska often has the bass doing the lead as a guitar does the rhythm
Idk why I never thought of that /_-)
yeah a lot of great bass work in ska
💯
The name Ska comes from the sound the guitar makes in giving the beat. So yeah, the bass and horns provide the melody.
@@bootska the skang and the chop👊

I SWEAR there was an instrumental version of this song in Kablam.
Yes, it played before the commercial breaks (when they would announce upcoming segments in an episode). Also was the end credits music in one episode for some reason.
