I love the work they've done on the classic ships. The Old Blue looks nice but the Red is just massive compared to what it was! The first time I opened the gate and the searchlight over the reactor hit me it was a bit intimidating. Yet another great update from Keen!
Having these updates come out makes sure we don't have to rely on mods too much. I'm tired of having mods that just get removed or don't work and boom, can't use my ship anymore. I love this game
Final set of pieces is: proper defense to counter certain weapons types leading to a rock paper scissors style of design interms of offense and defense. The second piece is actual threats like roaming pirates on Official Keen Servers, small variants and large based on your progress, attempting to overtake you evenly. Small drones or bots for the assault rifle and larger ships as you unlock more. Then...Ill be happy. But this is a fantastic start.
@@lunarhalo6977 Nah. We have too much combat focused shit. The industry update was a failure, since we didn't get ANY updates to our tools. We need upgrades and improvements for mining, grinding, harvesting, repairing, all of the utilities.
The crazy part is that if you compared with the old red ship and refit red ship, it's nearly identical in term of size, just to show how crammed inside the refit red ship
Blue ship looks more like a frigate, larger and slower than corvettes, but not a heavily armed as a destroyer. Aside from that though, great walkthrough
I like to call Blue the "little blue". I know its only reason for existance was to showcase the destruction of one ship crasshing into another, with the Big Red's "Mandable" snapping it in half at the neck. I agree that Little blue's combat category would put it at Corvette if it were designed better. but as it stands I consuder it more of a civilian yacht, or a lite exploration vessel, not meant for direct combat. inorder for it to be a corvette I would reinforce the neck, repkace it with some extra cargo, fuel and weapn placements. as well as add more gyroscopes to make it more maneuverable. it defiantly is a great chassis with a profile worthy of edits and upgrades.
I was checking all this stuff out then jumped into my current playthrough to find that jump drives are broke and when fighting enemies sometimes the antennas broadcast when you get close vanishes making it hard to tell what range you are at. As much as I love the new stuff I hope they fix what they broke quick. Not being able to jump in my current playthrough is quite a problem seeing I have stuff scattered all over the star system.
@@-invertedidiocy-4338 I was taking down an imber defense station but as I got close and took control of the turret the signal went out. I thought maybe it was in the turret view so I let the ai take the turret back over but the signal never came back. Tried again on a scutler flying over same thing happened in camera view.
The new red ship looks nice but I hate the rail gun placement. They might as well be decorations as useless as it will be to fire on anything with them.
@@MediumRareOpinions I did think of something like that but honestly they should have done it first. your idea would have been a different way to show off the turret block.
This update is amazing, so cool to see the community coming together to enjoy something rather than complaining for once.

Blue Ship looks awesome, really like what they've done here
definitely given it the modern look!
Even the blue spawn ship also given a refit
@@alternative915 Really??
@@jymmykill1611 Yeah, it maybe just a variant but in the trailer, i dont see other design like that than the blue spawn ship.

yeah i think this was the final piece, some proper weaponry
@@LunarKolony final piece will be ai enemies like in from the depths.

Great video, i love the new red ship design
Thx! I've a save 3 months into this scenario. Gradually mod it successfully. The asteroids a must.
Lovely! Really like what they did with the update. There are so many options and possibilities now, time to get back on SE 🤠 assault cannons go brrrr

Oh lawd, Keen's made their own ship classification scheme
Welp.. time to stay away from any discords talking about ship classes :/
Where can I find it

SE has clearly come a long way.

Your the only one I've seen do this.
Big Red should be called the Tardis based on your walkabout!

Unfortunately I think there will always be teething issues with the new updates, not everything can be tested, but we can hope for fixes!
Was it SPRT npcs? There antennas blink momentarily, if not I’m sure that will get ironed out

I cant find the scenario for some reason, I cant find it on the workshop either.
It's in the 'custom scenarios' tab

Sadly if you don't have all dlc's you can't copy those ships.
The new red ship looks nice but I hate the rail gun placement. They might as well be decorations as useless as it will be to fire on anything with them.
You can easily remedy that with a pair of hinges and a pair Turret control blocks, the railguns will converge on your target automatically

Dose anyone know where I can get that read and white raming ship from the video
you cant unfortunately

Please don't take offense, your mic is picking up your key presses on your keyboard / controller.
I would class that as a light cruiser, too slow to be a corvette.
That’s not an updated blue ship. That’s an UPdated blue ship.
great job on the walk thru to show everything but MY GAWD the keyboard clicks for 16 minutes really got annoying to listen to.
