  • Sihl 🛣️🏔️🐄
The Sihl is a Swiss river that is 73 km (45 mi) long and rises near the Druesberg mountain in the canton of Schwyz.
It eventually flows into Limmat river in the center of the city of Zürich.
The Sihl river feeds into the Sihlsee, an artificial lake created by a dam near the town of Einsiedeln.
The Sihlsee is the largest artificial lake in Switzerland and a key source of hydroelectric power.
In Zurich, the river runs underground before it merges with the Limmat, and this section is significant
because it runs beneath the main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof).
