i love the way she laughs and being so excited telling her stories. seems so relax and nothing to hide.
Dakota is one of the child star actors who acutally kept her head on straight
I grew up to her movies she's one of my biggest idols still to this day
I don't know man, all of the young harry potter actors also turned out great. The only two child actors I can name that had problems with their fame growing up are Macaulay Culkin and Jake Loyd, and even they got through their issues.

@@theintunity There are so many countless child actors who either slipped through the cracks & never made it back, are still struggling to this day or struggled with their demons for many years & made it back to a healthy place in their lives. The entire child cast of Diff'rent Strokes struggled with their demons as child stars. Dana Plato died because of her demons. That's why I admire Dakota & her sister Elle so much! The strength, discipline & resilience to not succumb to the vices & temptations of Hollywood are commendable & admirable! Dakota Fanning is a great actress. Very level-headed. She understands the dark side of Hollywood, and it's pitfalls. She's had good roll models to look after her. Thumbs up. When actresses party too much, smoke cigarettes, do drugs and alcohol. It's a disaster.

+pxlbltz I was also thinking the same. It counts as it was a series of multiple episodes, which is the very definition Seth gave. It may have only been one series (deliberately), but there's no guarantee The Alienist will get a second series. I hope it does though as I liked the first episode and more Dakota is always good. :-)
It is based on a book so it probably won´t get more episodes. Anyway I rather see Dakota on the big screen anyway, where she belong. Been a fan since 04 "man on fire". Anyone have seen "Brimstone" last year? It went somewhat below the radar but it was an amazing movie, very dark and violent, but great acting and what a story!
It may depend on how closely they stick to the book, how successful it is and if they go there own way after the book is done with. Only time will tell.
I respectfully disagree that she belongs on the big screen. She belongs where the best work is and these days, TV is really where it's at (given the right project of course). She rarely gets on the big screen now and, as you say, she kinda goes 'under the radar' but at least she picks interesting stuff IMO.
Yes, I have Brimstone and it's a great movie with great performances. Taken was my first time seeing her and she stole the show. I'd heard of her before that through I Am Sam but hadn't seen it.
Taken was a mini series, and as such does not count as episodic TV.
I really enjoyed the show and her acting.

She's been doing movies regularly too, but they're all small productions and don't get a lot of attention. "Brimstone" was a very good, but brutal film that was released early last year, and "American Pastoral" had some people assuming Dakota would be an awards season contender in 2017, but the hype died down. That's a good film also. Of course nothing was as good as the films she made as a child.
