How do you make your mixes sound more analogue? If you would like some free custom rock and metal drum samples and other goodies, grab them here: www.audioproductiontips.com/free-stuff
Being old enough to remember the 70's, I must say that you have done a stellar job here! I truly thought I was the only one taking these steps in detail, with success and here you are with a 2 year old video. We actually use the exact same plugins (I won't state the order) to achieve the analogue sound! It really gets close to the real deal, like 80 - 90% of the way. You are wise beyond your years sir! Fine job. Subbed.
did you load a stereo version of NLS and Kramer tape on the bass and perc ??? is that on purpose or is it supposed to be the Mono version of the plugin on kick, snare bass etc ? Great Video thanks.
If it's the EQ part of the 1073 most likely after. If you are using it as the pre-amp to drive the signal harder like you had recorded it hotter, I would put it before. However, there are no firm rules here, try both and see what you like :)
@@audioproductiontips Ty for your reply! Cuz i know in the real world..the signal path would go from my guitar etc into a preamp thru the console to tape!!!
It's a digital distorted mess. Need to learn how analog sounds in real life, so your ears guide it or at least fix your gain structure before hitting them.

Just found this video and this is Great! But were do i put my other plugins in The channel chain? Right after?
I would put them right after the channel strips
@@audioproductiontips why not after the nls? Wouldn’t the send/returns be affected by the console channel?
So great!!! Thanks

so you go with Tape then Channel Strip then NLS??
I like it that way, I know others that like it "Tape, NLS, channel strip" too. Maybe try both and see what you feel?
@@audioproductiontips No i will do what you said in this video but i asked because i saw this video first, and i was confused

I can certainly do a mastering tips video. I am not sure I have this session file anymore though.
