- Burt Reynolds, Dom DeLuise, Hope Lange, Carl Reiner, Suzanne Pleshette, Wally Cox, Rose Marie, Vincent Price, and Paul Lynde are all on this classic 1972 episode of The Hollywood Squares, with Master of the Squares Peter Marshall.
Great show ! Paul Lynde is my favorite !
Paul Lynde always cracked me up.
What a shame most of the Peter Marshall era is gone forever.
Allison S. I so agree! Two factors..1) Tape cost and 2) Warehouse space. No thought of condensing episodes together.
@@georgemaster4225 , if only they had known how valuable these episodes would be at a later time
A 22 day trip to London? Holy cow!
That's about 15 days too long.
RIP Carl Reiner
November 1972
Vincent Price had a sneaky sense of humor.
I went to law school backing the 70s, next to the graveyard where Edgar Allen Poe is buried. Vincent Price was out there in the graveyard one day. My professor was freaking "Vincent Price is in the graveyard!"
Interesting to see Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise on this- I wonder if this started them working together eventually a few years later.
It really made we wonder....are there people who Never played tic-tac-toe,when they were choosing the squares.
APPARENTLY, LOL..THEY OVERLOOK OBVIOUS CHANCES TO WIN, AT VARIOUS TIMES..THE EXCEPTION IS IF THEY GAMBLE ON CHOOSING A SECRET SQUARE, INSTEAD OF TAKING THE POINTS..THIS GUY, PETER, HOWEVER GOT THE POINTS AND THE SECRET SQUARE AT THE SAME TIME..OVER $6,000 BUCKS..LIKE $60,000 NOW..BTW, COOL USERNAME..
I wondered the same thing. There are a lot of people who made questionable moves in a lot of these shows.
Hope ❤
Wally Cox would only live for a few more months...heart attack got him.
Underdog himself!!! Sad.
💀
Very sad. He died before 50.
I'm showing my age but I remember when it happened....Squares was a very popular show...
You ARE sick and totally morbid, should be ashamed of yourself!!!
We're supposed to be enjoying a game show!

Still..same codes
More Karen Valentine.
I always thought Burt Reynolds was a dud .
I'm a gay man and I sure as heck never saw the appeal in him. He's basically a personality-free zone and he's so hairy that if he didn't shave his back, you could probably braid his back hair nicely. Also, his toupees always sucked.
He was awesome in Smokey and the Bandit and Boogie Nights.

My mother loved him. Thought he was like Clark Gable.
This is Wally Cox's last year. He dies later in '72.
February 15, 1973.
Even I guessed washed clothes....
She doesn't have much choice, does she? 😅
Listen from about 17:51 wait for the host Peter Marshall after Paul Lynde gives his answer. Does Peter Marshall whisper "say yes" ?? Please listen I'd like to know what anyone thinks.
Peter said "He says 'yes'" to clarify Paul's explanation and reasoning.
Wally Cox is alive here but he won't be for long.
GSN .was always easier to gain glean fr
