Great review! I'm a foodie lover who loves seafood, so this brings a smile to my face😊. We arrive on February 9th to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary ❤️
Hi ThatLVGirl! Yeah it was pretty amazing actually. I wouldn't normally rank Riu food that high but in Aruba, it was impressive for sure! Have a great time & happy anniversary! PS have you been to Giannis restaurant before for the cheese-wheel flambe pasta? It's about 1.5 blocks from the Riu and is insanely good!
Great video. My wife and I love this resort we’ve been there a few times and love it. Is the Chill Out bar across from the pool bar available to all guest or just Elite club now?
Hi Tim! Initially they said that the Chill Bar would be Elite Club but since there's a bar within the Elite Club pool area, I think they'll leave it open for all. Nice to have a 2nd overflow area. Great hotel for sure!
In all my trips to Aruba I have noticed that most things don't open till 10-11 am. So if you go don't be surprised. Just sleep in, have a slow start to your day , relax and go with the flow. I love the island and the shift in the mindset. Enjoy the sun and beautiful beaches.
Ugh this is so true! When we were there, it was stupidly hot during the peak of day, so we were trying to go out in the mornings but there really wasn't much open. In the evenings, when the sun went down, all the sudden the area went from being a ghost town to partyland!
Hey Christine, I understand you have been to other RIU Palace properties. QUESTION: Would you say that RIU Palace Antilles, Aruba has the best overall food?? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work. 😎⛹️♀️🤸♂️🚴♂️😊
@@clarencemarquez8134 hi Clarence! Yes - out of all the ones I’ve been to, this one knocks it out of the park for food quality and ingredients. Beautiful island too so you can’t go wrong there.
Love the shape of pools with all the nooks and different areas to hang out. I'm not a fan of the new pools Riu is putting in the new or renovated Riu's. They are rectangular and boring.
Hi MechTech! I'll be at the newly renovated Riu Palace Bavaro next month so I'm curious to see what their pools look like. That said, it's an Elite Club resort, so I'll have access to all the other nearby Riu's - I'm quite looking forward to having so many resort options, just steps from my hotel!
@ChristineTurner I'm jealous. I always wanted to check out a Riu Palace in Punta Cana. I've only been to Punta Cana once, years ago, and stayed at Bahia Principe Amber. Really nice resort but the whole Bahia Principe resort complex (4 resorts) was enormous and not that walkable. Cant wait to see the review of Riu Palace Bavaro.
HI MechTech! I've stayed at quite a few resorts there and do like that most are quite large, with oversized rooms - as long as the resort isn't too big. I found the Hard Rock to be a bit much - Lobby to beach was about a 10 minute walk!! I'm curious to see what the Riu's are like and have just found that I may not have access to Riu Palace Macao - kind of frustrating how each resort seems to have their own rules for exchange privileges - we shall find out for sure in a few weeks!
@@ChristineTurner I'm would still try to go to Macao. When we stayed at Riu Palace Peninsula (all ages) they said we could go to Riu Palace Las Americas (adult only). When we got there they seem to think we couldn't go there once I said that we were told we could they allowed us right in no problem
Hi MechTech - oh I'll definitely head over that way and see if I can get in or not. Worst case, I'll arrange a site inspection so I can get in and see what it's like. Interesting story about Riu Palace Las Americas though!!
This was an amazing review! Thank you!
Hi LidiRoyal! Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed my stay here. Are you thinking of going?
