  • Quick fix for the Geberit Sigma 80 half flush failing when the button is pressed but full flush works normally. Adjust tightness of the rubber band as necessary so the full flush valve moves in concert with the half flush valve.

Worked for me, thanks. 😊 If I do need to replace the plunger in the future, will any Geberit fit? Thanks again.

How to raise the water in the toilet bowl?

I need to change my flush gasket, and all the videos I've found are a bit different on the inside. Yours is identical to mine though. Any idea how to remove the entire flush assembly so I can change the gasket?

      Did you work it out?

@@robertov1781 For the most part. I contacted Geberit who sent me the video instructions. ruclips.net/video/9D4Fhcq8PLo/видео.html. Unlike many models demoed on youtube, for this one you have to remove the fill valve as well. The tricky part is my flush assembly gasket was very much stuck to the tank. I had to use a bunch of a force to get it out, and actually broke the "light flush" mechanism. If you feel it move up two inches and then it get's "stuck"- you need to grab onto a different piece of the mechanism as that's the light flush part which is more delicate than the rest of the assembly. Geberit sent me a new assembly for free though. Getting it back in was also trickier than it shows in the video - you really have to make sure the flush assembly is wet and press/twist down with force to get it seated. Some plumber silicone grease would probably be a good idea.

@@UTeewbI'm having this issue too. Can't remove the flush assembly, and can rotate it's top bit to disengage it. So just to confirm, you suggest grabbing the lower half of the flush assumbly and pulling, right? Guess I'll also try the rubber band - does that still achieve a half-flush? Thanks, Chris.

@@TheRationalbrain Yeah bottom half should be safe. I didn't try the rubber band fix, though it sounds like it just makes it so your light flush does the heavy flush. If you are U.S. based their support is pretty good and free so you can also try giving them a call.
