What was not pointed out was that in addition to Parry, all of the other "worthless" skills he learned from the various classes have progressed to a shocking level. They show him using the fast movement and light healing skills, but don't really point out that they're far more powerful than they should be, and if you're not looking for it you might miss that the "physical strengthening" he got from the warrior class is being used when he's doing the F-rank jobs to carry around literal tons of stone, which is why the foreman thinks so highly of him.
What actaully suprised me the most is that none of the teachers where particularly rude or disrespectful to him after he couldn't learn anything for 3 months
I agree with you. I actually had a good time with the opening episode. Its not too often that you have a MC that started with very humble yet tough beginnings. Father already died during his childhood, and a mother sick and bed ridden, eventually dying later on. So for motivation after being turned down, and being inspired at an early age, when his father was still alive, dedicated his upbringing, by taking all the criticisms and failures, and developed into an individual that is going to be underestimated throughout, while trying to keep a promise to himself by becoming that "Hero". What got me is that the routine and the environment that surrounds him is naturally organic in a sense that you can actually relate with him. Shows no animosity, no bravado, kept humble, and is fully aware of his limitations/shortcomings. Its got me interested to see how far 1 basic defensive skill is going to carry him. Also, I'm curious to see if there are any skills that he could pick up along his growth. But so far, all he has is the truly basic skills for an all-rounder, but not enough talent to say that he can be exceptional, especially for an adventurer, in which there is at least 1 if not 2 skills/abilities that is exceptional or outstanding. I like so far how its being written and really looking forward to see how he's going to progress. Until next time, Enjoy!
Love this type of character. He got rewarded for all his hard work and years of dedication and if he is in a way OP with his supposedly weak skill, it makes sense why and isn't just he can do everything and beat anyone.
I came into this show curious but loved it. You hit how I feel about it very well. I really like how Noor is just some ordinary guy from an ordinary family. I like how they took us through his backstory so we could connect with him personally. I was genuinely happy for his F rank status because he was so excited about it. Noor seems like he is just some hard working, humble guy who is chasing a dream. I like that any potential for him to be “overpowered” in any way is due to his individual hard work over YEARS of effort instead of being born into it as an issekei protagonist or anything like that.
Noor reminds me of Rentt in that they're both just genuinely good dudes, which makes it really easy to cheer for them. Few people can approach such menial tasks with the focus and consideration that they do.
I thought it was interesting that this and "Ossan Newbie Adventure" both came out this season with similar concepts - OP protagonist who doesn't realize they're OP, and this was definitely the higher-quality of the two. As someone who's read the I Parry Everything LNs, I do find it interesting that at least so far, they haven't leaned quite as heavily into the main character's stupidity (or perhaps simple naivety), which the books really leaned into - thinking the minotaur is a normal cow, for instance.
@@HeavyTopspin I like it, didn't read the novel but I really dislike stupid characters. It makes sense abit that he thinks the Minautor is low level cause he was raised by himself on stories of grandiose from the book and that prob what he expect others to be like. Same as ossan, which I also liked alot. Finally grown adult animes with likable mcs.
@@MrDragonorp He literally thinks the minotaur is a cow. A normal eat-grass-in-the-field cow. It's played for laughs in the books, and although I do like the more semi-serious tone of this episode, I worry that all the book's humor is going to be downplayed - although that'd be better than the lean-into-the-stupidity in The Great Cleric adaptation.
Well this was a good first episode, I had low expectations but I really enjoyed it. I like Noor and his pure, straightforward and diligent personality, he is very much a likable guy and has a very positive outlook so im looking forward to seeing more of him. It is amusing how he's never seen a cow before so he doesn't realize how strong he is since he just defeated a Minotaur on his own that royal knights weren't able to do anything about.I did feel really bad for him as a child, he's been alone for so long after losing his parents and then he couldn't even do what he wanted to do so it is impressive how dedicated he was to become an adventurer that he worked for over a decade before going back down again. I am curious to see how those instructors will react and think of him seeing how much he has grown.
I also like how he’s a grown man. Not the same teenage anime protagonist that they copy and paste into all of them. Yeah, he still follows the same tropes. But he’s a grown man at least.
I hadn't necessarily planned on watching this but when plans got cancelled due to rain decided to give it a look. I enjoyed it too and will be watching next week.
That a very surprise episode! Noor as a MC feel very human and enjoyable to follow 😌👀 His backstory was sad but yet beautiful 😢! The Opening & Ending are both amazing! Definitely gonna watch episode 2 and more 😎
i was pleasantly surprised with this. didn't think that there would be 2 montages but here we are, i do love a good montage (thanks team america: world police). Noor being a Jack-of-all-trades but a master of none and still thinking he's too weak was a stroke of brilliance. This is going in my keep bin.
Just watched it, thought it would be another mid fantasy anime but i loved it. His house barrier cube thingy looked like Yuuya's isekai house. And his parents death is so weird, like there must be some secret plot behind it. Episode 1 also got me hooked and wanting more of his journey
Of all the anime’s that have came out between 2020 - 2024, this is in the upper rankings. I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I did not expect to like it as much as I did. Great watch.
The way they explained his strength and ability makes sense and it is built up well. We can empathize with his struggle and it makes sense with the system in place. A lot of nice shots and animation. I can see why the lack of a special ability would make someone not consider him a ready adventurer. It doesn’t really use a lot of the same tropes or if it does it is in the same way. He isn’t a dumb muscle brain. The parents dying in a village makes sense if we consider how living in a village can be sometimes. It also shows how powering up one skill can make you crazy powerful. The 14 years of training was in isolation and he may not have faced powerful foes yet and perhaps he will figure out how strong he truly is sooner rather than later.
Im so far into I parry everything, and my only complaint is the episodes are not longer! I love the art and stories. The world they live in is so interesting. GIVE ME MORE!!!!
I liked it! Definitely gonna watch episode 2. It feels like I read the manga for this once upon a time, but lost track of it before getting far enough for it to make an impact.
I was kinda confused on his training bit. Because he was just hitting the swords in the air. When i read the Light novel, i thought the swords would be comming flying towards him like pendles and then he would parry them. The funniest part of the LN is how different the preception of everything is for Noor and literally everybody else.

Enjoyed the first one. There are more fights to come including a very big one. If only he spent a quarter of his time he trained parry on book smarts. He is fairly clueless at reading situations. But he did live alone all these years it seems.
You read the Book didn't you its funny how he gets attacked from evil people an he is like "So that is hospitility in this country" and then while the others try to kill him he has fun or when he thinks a tremendously strong Monster is one of the weakest like "oh this is a big Frog" while fighting against a Death Dragon its just so nice because of different coincidences he thinks he is weak but in reality he is superstrong a realy good book and the start of the anime is promising
This is good, no 3d very well respected budged and animation is great + story is interesting I'am in for what's next. Did anyone also thought when he left his village who would take care of the animals maybe other villagers, but it wasn't shown, poor farm animals, author what happen? :O
I thought the same. Don’t you need an opposing attack for it to be considered parrying? (Or at least have the weapon moving towards you) What he is doing is just hitting strung up wooden swords
Teen character 0 wisdom and always overpowered boring shit as always this Noor guy is much much better in my opinion he's already matured also he's not overly overpowered
Think about that thing with "not overly overpowert" again in a few episodes you will see that he is indeed overly overpowerd but he dosent realizes it himself

The one thing I was wondering how the hell can you parry an axe that it flips around and behead its wielder, guess we still are watching an anime 🤣
Its not crunchy roll so where do i watch
This is good, no 3d very well respected budged and animation is great + story is interesting I'am in for what's next. Did anyone also thought when he left his village who would take care of the animals maybe other villagers, but it wasn't shown, poor farm animals, author what happen? :O
probably sold or ate them I assume
I also thought that
Not entirely sure you could call what he was doing for training Parrying but it definitely worked in the end fight.
I thought the same. Don’t you need an opposing attack for it to be considered parrying? (Or at least have the weapon moving towards you) What he is doing is just hitting strung up wooden swords
i will check this one out. thanks
MY FAVORITE NEW ANIME! He is the underpowered character and ranked F-class. I’m all-in for Noor. ✊
SUGOI! Look, a new walled city!
the mc reminds me of the main character from aharen san
Where cab i watch
Hidive has it I know
I finished it and I love it
I've been reading the Manga and it's pretty decent so far. I'm not going to say groundbreaking.
i was gonna skip this cause i thought it was generic template meat head but ill give it a try now.
LETS GO JUSTIN!!!!!!!!!!
I'm waiting him to parry a nuke😂
I'm gonna need a review of My Deer Friend Nokotan it is the best show of the season

@@AHBrandonReviews I'm looking forward to the vid Sunday
Sekiro Wanabee
Teen character 0 wisdom and always overpowered boring shit as always this Noor guy is much much better in my opinion he's already matured also he's not overly overpowered
Think about that thing with "not overly overpowert" again in a few episodes you will see that he is indeed overly overpowerd but he dosent realizes it himself
