I wish i lived closer and could come to your clinic. I have been suffering for years. I have been diagnosed wrongly with bladder spasms..was told the constipation was from medication and was put on linzess... i was told my incontinence and constipation was due to my spinal issues and went through a third spinal fusion which did nothing. I finally got referred to a urogynecologist and within 10 min i was finally diagnosed with a grade 2 cystocele and grade 2 rectocele. Within ten minutes!!!! Finally! Answers that made sense. It explained the incontinence, constipation, and lower back pain, the pain in my flank, and the feeling of heaviness in my lower abdomen as well as the groin and leg pain and coccydynia pain. 10 minutes!!! After years of aggravation and no answers. Meds and surgeries! I was so elated and mad all at the same time! Finally getting answers but realizing i was correct in what i thought was wrong to begin with and i was put through so much and spent so much money going from doctor to doctor and tests to tests!! I'm post hysterectomy... so no one even thought of it being from a gynecological issue, except me, but no one would listen to me. Not one doctor would listen.
I had already had ultrasounds of my bladder, been to all kinds of specialist and diagnosed with lipodema due to the swelling from not being able to empty my bladder when i was constipated. Thousands and thousands of dollars in testing! I was ready to give up and live in depends for the rest of my life. I am only 55!!! Why! Why! Why! Why Do we have to go through so much before they send you to a urogynecologist to be diagnosed??? My urogynecologist said my story is typical and they are usually the last of a long line of multiple doctors, medications and testing. It is very sad that we have to go through so much before diagnoses. Sad thing is 7 years ago, i was finally diagnosed with fibroid tumors, endometriosis, and cysts after at least 10 years of issues and only diagnosed correctly once one of the tumors had grown so large that my uturus was trying to prolapse. The only thing that saved me was the tumor was so large that it couldn't fit throught the vaginal canal. I felt like i was having a 10lb baby natural childbirth! If the tumor had been able to come through the vaginal canal, the doctor told me i would have hemmhoraged and bled to death. I have a high pain tolerance so they accused me of drug seeking when i finally went to the ER because i wasn't screaming and crying. They said there was no way i was in as much pain as i said because i would be crying and screaming in pain. They refused to even do an ultrasound until i told them i would pay cash if i had to in order to get the test and if they didn't do the test and something happened to me after i left that i was going to document that they did not even check for pelvic issues and i would sue them. I was immediately sent to have the ultrasound and told to get dressed immediately afterwards because they were insisting i leave. Once the ultrasound was done, i got dressed and was going to leave and go to a hospital in the next county. They wouldn't let me leave. They called an oncologist and set me up for transfer to another facilify because the doctor was absolutely positive I had uturine cancer because the tumor was so large. Thank God I didn't have cancer but they had to remove everything including 90-95% of my cervix. Now, the urogynecologist is sure that because i have no cervix, i have no support for the vaginal wall. That is most likely why i have developed a cystocele and rectocele. Our health system is so messed up. I could have hemorrhaged and died! Instead i am prepping for my next surgery. I am having the urodynamics test tomorrow and will be having surgery in the next few weeks. I will have 2 months minimum of extremely strict restrictions on lifting and bending. Then, months of restrictions that are a little more lenient. She tokd me to plan on it being Christmas before i can return to semi normalcy. This, after just having 3rd spinal fusion. I am so frustrated but hopeful that my days of the, not so sexy , depengerie I've been wearing will be gone and i cam go back to the, not so sexy, granny panty lingerie I'm more comfortable in. 😂

exercise works if your organs are not damaged some like myself are stuck wearing diapers and pull ups or pads because not just bladder weakness but stomach and bowel issues since birth medications tend to make the problem worse as they have harmful side effects the chair is shock therapy and the surgery is altering the body also has side effects

It can be complicated to treat. Yes there are potential side effects from any treatment but there are also risks of doing nothing. Find a good doctor and explore options.

I have this problem. I live in CA and the gynecologists I go to don’t know this information or care because they’re young. What city do you practice?
