My husband is ex British Army for 24 years.... whenever he went away on tour there was always a letter for me and the children if anything happened. I was one of the lucky ones who never had to read those letters........but, there were many that had to. 💙
Veteran here as well hope all my brothers and sisters are safe tonight in peace where ever that may be. A word from me to tell you how i feel about your reaction girl you made me cry too and im a man hard to do. God bless you sweet woman liked and sub. May your life be golden and filled with love. Sending my heart to you. ❤️
Hello Jayy.. Your reaction is genuine. I cried with you here at work. There are some songs that just touch that cord and you just can't help it. We are feeling much less of the pain of all the families who have received a letter just like this fro All Our Men & Women who put on that uniform to protect us and let us have the freedom that we have to enjoy watching you.
This is based on a true story. Thousands of men and women have died in this situation. I appreciate you taking this song seriously. It is a reality for many of us service members
As a former Army attack helicopter pilot and combat veteran, thank you for your reaction. I’ve lost friends in combat...I will never disrespect our flag or live on my knees...never apologize for your tears, I don’t don’t...
We all, soldiers that is, write a last letter or letters when we deploy, it is emotional and heartbreaking having to do it a blessing to whomever you wrote it to.
Civilians can never truly know what soldiers go thru. Thank you all for your sacrifices and time lost with the ones you love to protect us. We owe you more than we can repay.
Music can be so so powerful! The listener instantly starts grieving for the recipient of the letter. The music and lyrics hit us like a sledgehammer and in our minds and hearts we each invision the sad scene that the lyrics paint and it pierces us strait through. This song might have messed you up temporarily emotionally... but it also promotes caring and understanding. It also reminds us that we ourselves are finite and that there is a finality hear on earth to us.... our loved ones... and everyone on this earth. Life is precious. Great reaction!!
Thank you for this. I have lost six battle buddies and counting. You crying got me crying and it might sound weird but your tears make me proud to do what i had to do. Thank you. Much love and God bless all my brothers and sisters. Semper Fi
This song has such a powerful message. Thanks for doing this one. My other favorite songs from the great Tim McGraw are Don’t Take the Girl, When She Wakes Up, One of These Days, Just To See You Smile, Can’t Be Really Gone, I Do But I Don’t, Angry All the Time, Grown Men Don’t Cry, Back When, My Little Girl, Everywhere, and You Had To Be There.
You are by far the best « non verbal » person I’ve ever watched. In 2021, with all our « social interactions », it becomes more and more difficult to even create a bond with our own neighbors. I’m a 35 years old French dude and I feel more related to you than anyone living within miles from me. This is due to music only. What your channel is to me is basically about watching humanity surviving. And, through you, it does.
Jay, you are such a beautiful person, I actually watch your videos just to see you're beauty and I hate to see you cry, but I know that these are good tears, cus they are tears that show that you have a soft heart and a soft heart is a very good thing to have....for we live in a world where the hearts of so many have grown hard and so many don't know how to love or care for others
As a veteran, this song hits hard. You’re reaction to this gained you a fan and a subscriber. More that will pull at your heart strings, Arlington by Trace Adkins, Come Home Soon by Shedaisy and Flag by Aaron Lewis. All are incredible song by incredible artists. Give them a listen.
A lot of us wrote a letter like this before going into combat. If we came back, fine, if we didn't the letter was mailed back home to our kin by our buddies. I cannot watch this without crying because I mailed far too many of these letters home from Vietnam.
💔💔omg I've never heard this before..broke me to my soul. Truly ..beautiful and sad at the same time. Thank you for sharing Your reaction was heart & soul. Thank you Jayy
I remember writing my letter before goin' overseas for the Navy. It was tough to write, but I poured my heart into it. I'm glad I never had my dad and family ever read it
When a song touches your soul and heart, then the writer and singer have done their job to leave you with a good memory you will always remember. Now listen to Tim McGraw, If Your Reading This.
My favorite reactions to this song are from people I don’t think would listen to country. Because the song regardless of its genre makes everyone feel something. I lost my cousin in Afghanistan. He followed is dads footsteps after his dad had passed away from cancer (my great uncle was in Vietnam and in areas with chemicals). And his wife was just a few weeks shy of giving birth to their son when we all found out he died. This song makes me cry every time I hear it.
The first time i heard this it was played over a funeral procession where a soldier landed in fla and was driven miles to his home town and the whole way was lined with flags and people paying their respects i bawled like a baby the whole time as the wife and mother of Marines it hit home everytime loved your react was crying right along with you lots of hugs girl
sometimes its appropriate to have what people call an ugly cry believe me i was right there with you crying and sobbing beside you and that type of crying is absolutely ok for this song hun i love watching your reactions really show how the songs affect you please dont be sorry for crying it is ok love, thoughts, and prayers from a new subscriber but a long time viewer
You'd think after all the loved ones that I've lost in my short 49 years that this wouldn't still get to me but it does. My daddy, aunt& husband in one years time back in 02-03' and before that my fav granny & my grandpa. Then 5 years ago my momma and her mom 10 days apart. It really never stops hurting. God bless anyone that has lost anyone. Peace& Love❤✌
this song touches me because i did follow in my dad's shoes and i always worried what if I didn't make it back. i had lost more friends after we got home than over seas.
Bless your heart, Jayy. (Sincerely.) Sending you hugs and positive vibes. As soon as I saw you had posted this, I knew it was gonna get to you! For more Tim, try "It's Your Love" (with his wife Faith Hill), "Don't Take The Girl," "Live Like You Were Dying," "Humble and Kind," "Real Good Man," "Please Remember Me," and "The Cowboy in Me."
This is a Just In Case letter. Most troops overseas write one and give them to their Chain of Command. Me included. We were actually ordered to write it. Writing the letter is just as hard. You have to think about the fact that it may be your last words to your family. What do you write down? I sat a lot trying to find the words. Thankfully my letter never had to be sent.
I was in the military and I was in Iraq a few times. Some of us would carry a "kill letter"; some say it's bad luck to carry one, but some what something to say to their families. That song is not about one person in particular, it is suppose be about the thousands of brothers and sisters we have lost while fighting for this country. This song was played at the Country Music Awards, and at the end of the song, the lights turn up and a few dozen family members of people that paid the ultimate price; and from what I heard was that it was on Tim McGraw's dime.
Beautiful reaction Jayy...I never did learn to live like I did before...it’s been my personal experience that you learn to live around the damage...🖖🏻🇨🇦💥🥰
He only performed this song once and never again...there was no official music video. On the stage, he had widows of fallen military members. It was very moving.
I definitely wrote my share of “just in case” letters. It’s hard to be emotional when you’re trained not to be, but it may be your last chance to articulate your thoughts and feelings in a meaningful way. I didn’t escape unscathed, but I am still alive. Some of my brothers weren’t so fortunate, and any who wrote letters were hand delivered upon getting home, some people used part of their leave to deliver them personally.
I love the tenderness of your heart. In a world that has become so callous and uncaring, you're a breath of fresh air.
I agree with Dale Minton. I love your heart and sensitivity
As a Veteran we all knew we would have to write that letter, just in case .
My husband is ex British Army for 24 years.... whenever he went away on tour there was always a letter for me and the children if anything happened. I was one of the lucky ones who never had to read those letters........but, there were many that had to. 💙
Thanks for your service I can't imagine having to write that letter
@@michellegreggan4548 glad you never had to read one!
@@christopherpinkard9093 thank you. It's very hard to write, but harder on your families hearts if you don't.
Thanks for the responses.
Don't worry. We all cried with you. Tim McGraw is masterful, and this is one powerful song.
I didn't know you had lost your fiance. This song caught me off guard, too, since I never listen to country music. I think it had most of us in tears!
I’ve listened to this song over a hundred times and it still hits me in the feels. I felt your emotions through this.
Every...time...
When in the military you know and accept the risks
As a vet, I still cry every time I hear this..
Ur true n genuine. I’m a disabled war veteran. Thank YOU!
thank you for your servie. i pray for you and your family that you will have peace and happiness
Wow! This was my first time hearing this too. Amazing song. Thank you. We’re gonna have to get you a box of tissues for some of these songs!!!
Nothing better than raw emotions, it proves we are all human. Thanks for sharing.

Before watching this I knew it would have you in your feels.

Army Vet- thank you for feeling what so many military hope their loved ones know. Bless you.
Her reaction is exactly what we all should have!
❤️
Love and respect our military! Salute!
I cry everytime I hear this, my gratitude is overwhelming for these soldiers
As a former Army attack helicopter pilot and combat veteran, thank you for your reaction. I’ve lost friends in combat...I will never disrespect our flag or live on my knees...never apologize for your tears, I don’t don’t...
What I don’t understand is how an artist like Tim McGraw can sing the words without breaking down crying
I absolutely love your exposed emotion. Shows you have a heart. You get the purpose of music.
We all, soldiers that is, write a last letter or letters when we deploy, it is emotional and heartbreaking having to do it a blessing to whomever you wrote it to.
A more honest reaction I've never seen. God bless.
You're a beautiful and caring woman, I love watching your reactions.
tearing up shows you have a good heart!! Love to you
Civilians can never truly know what soldiers go thru. Thank you all for your sacrifices and time lost with the ones you love to protect us. We owe you more than we can repay.
That's how I felt when my dad died at 52 he had nine children and did not to see his kids grown completely up love it

Tim Mcgraw is an amazing artist....i cant imagine the amount of people that have never heard or avoided him because its country music
I started crying before you did but I knew you would be right behind me. Thanks for your beautiful and touching reaction.
your genuine tearful reaction.....heartfelt ma'am! Semper Fi 🇺🇸
That is what a real song does. It hits you right in the chest. As a Veteran, this song is so hard to listen to and not be emotional.
Thank you so much for your service
Thank you for your service sir! 🇺🇸
@@THEJAYYSHOW It was an honor to serve our country. 22 years went by very fast and I would not have changed it for anything.

We both did that deep exhale at the end simultaneously. Such a touching song
Country songs do that to ya. A lot of country songs either paint a picture or like a mini movie in just 4 minutes.
I really enjoy your reactions....These songs make me cry😢..
First video I've seen of yours, this song makes me cry every time to . Subscribing.
