When Touring car racing was much better and used proper cars from the showrooms that were real cars. Unlike todays modern space framed vehicles they use now
As I’m writing this now I’m catching up on the 2024 touring and as much as I still like watching it I can’t stop thinking it’s nowhere as good as the days where it was cars like the cavalier,Alfa,Renault,Volvo etc it was so exciting to watch now it seems to be all about sponsorship and politics. And the cars they use to day are all basically the same when I use to watch the classic touring I didn’t just route for the driver I wanted certain cars to win my favourite was the cavalier. And when that retired I wanted the vectra to win but wow the cars that was racing awesome miss those days
This is racing in my mind. It's the kind of racing I wish was more popular, especially here in the States where even our home grown "stock car" racing has turned into racing with heavy specially designed vehicles, there's nothing stock about it anymore.

The only part that's space frame is around the engine, from the windscreen back is all production shell.

Came for the Alfa 155's, stayed for the under-braking shunting chaos!
