Indian River Lagoon Seagrass Update, 5-24-2024

It has been overdue, but I made it back to Black Point in the Indain River Lagoon to check on the seagrass. This is what I found.

Thanks for the report. Ive been seeing seagrass slowly coming back this spring kayaking Sebastian, Vero, and Ft Pierce. Please post more updates this summer I will be in Alaska and would like to keep tabs on my home waterways. We caught more seatrout and reds this winter and spring here than we have in the past few years. The last video on my channel is my wifes biggest trout ever caught in Vero a few weeks ago. Things looking better i hope it continues!

I was out in the Ft. Pierce inshore area last week. There are some good patches of sea grass growing in several areas. Yeah! Finally! I hope an active hurricane season does not wash them away!

Thank you for the update. I'm curious about how the grass is doing up in the no motor zone. Last time i went there it was nothing but bare bottom.
