I was at that match and have been following non league football for years mainly in South London : Bromley and Sutton and Dulwich Hamlet. Loved games against Chorley. but this game was appalling. A dreadful pitch where the ball was bouncing round like in a school playground. Appalling officials. a weak referee and a linesman who must have telescopic vision to see a penalty from that distance. Arrogant players just because they are full time. As for the fans I would imagine there is more atmosphere in Betty's tea rooms than the football ground. When your rich backers get bored I hope Harrogate return to their well deserved obscurity. Oh and I forgot to mention the offside "goal" .

It’s interesting you mention Sutton and Bromley, who both play on similar surfaces to the one at the CNG. Well it is The lineman’s job to look for fouls, if they spot something from far away, they have done there job well. Our players are full time but I don’t see why that would mean they are arrogant. The atmosphere was great for such a small ground. Goal might have been offside, but you have defenders and a goalkeeper don’t you? You don’t have to be a twat towards the other team just because they beat you. You can be gracious and sporting in defeat.
Put simply we were robbed, Harrogate were better team, but penalty was a joke and 2nd goal was a yard offside. Referee was a disgrace, Ian’s right the refs are shite
paul bibby the handball was needless but it was definitely handball. Also Harrogate should have had a penalty straight after Chorley scored for handball. for a 93rd minute winner it didn't look like a lot of the Harrogate crowd were bothered.
Let’s get this right, the Harrogate players were surrounding the ref claiming that the ball had crossed the line There was no appeal for handball so why the decision is beyond me. Also for a team at home there fans were shite
Your last goal was offside. That Pen.......... Your players were asking for a goal (Not Handball) They were closer to the action than you.... Not all teams that dominate games come out as winners and really the sending off was no more than a booking. Disgraceful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
