I am very glad that you met a tour guide who is very experienced and has extensive knowledge about village life. I myself have friends who live in the city and they know nothing about life in a traditional and characteristic Indonesian village.
True, it was really nice to get some insight from someone who’s lived there for so long. Completely different perspective to some aspects of life to me. Love it 👍🏽
26:43 Not just for decoration. They're pretty, yes, the _refugia_ . But to a certain extent, it helps control the pest. Not all insects and bugs are bad. Some of them actually live to prey on the bad ones. These good agents love these kinda flowers. So a win-win solution for everyone.
@@Roman_onboard if you're in the neighborhood in Lombok, visit 'Tiu Kelep waterfall' - and when you come back, on the trail, you can glide in the river under the bridge and go through the bat cave after the slide 😎
hello roman, For a Muslim, it is forbidden to get a tattoo because it will prevent water from cleansing our body during worship. But if you already have a tattoo, it's okay because we are prohibited from harming our body, and removing a tattoo would require a lot of effort that sometimes harms our body.
It 's his choice and free will, noone can judge of anyone. In term of Islam teachings are just for their believers. Dont worry about the comments buddy😊
It’s interesting to see your video and i loved how you’re so respectful of asking the local about their tradition and beliefs😊 As a muslim is forbidden or haram to have a tattoo but if you want to convert to islam and already have a tattoo it’s okay and you don’t have to remove it. It’s like you are being born again, all your past sin will be forgiven and it’s okay to keep the tattoo that you already have. But it’s haram to get a new tattoo once you’re converted🙏🏼

Plecing kangkung is a typical Indonesian dish originating from Bali and Lombok. Plecing kangkung consists of boiled water spinach and served cold and fresh with tomato sauce, which is made from cayenne pepper, salt, shrimp paste and tomatoes, and sometimes topped with lime drippings.
I've never tried plecing kangkung, but will be sure to look for it next time! 🇮🇩 I think Mardiana told me that it’s not for me because of cayenne pepper 😅 Will try next time anyway) Thanks for the info about the dish 👍🏽
@@Roman_onboard try pelecing in other place . Because in lombok where the pelecing origin from is very spicy not recommend for tourist . But you can try it . Dyor
One field of rice produces 3x more calories than one field wheat . Rice can also be planted up to 3 times a year compared to wheat. You only need 4m² of rice field to feed 1 person for a year vs 20 m² of wheat field. That way Java Island has more population than Russia.
Through your vlog, I can see Balinese and Lombok people are good in English 👍 Also, I see that the majority of the ladies in Lombok wear tudung but not in Bali.
