I’m finally going to see them live on 10/5/19 at Austin City Limits. Loved them since 1985 and never had the chance to see them.. not missing the chance while their in the States so journeying from FL to TX to do it.
many thanks for the number 2.04 yes Robert is in his song just incredible moving , and musical geneius Lidia I don't think its heartbreaking its the soul and untold power of music
Thanks Robert you are only getting even better with age,lve followed the cure from the early days and always brings back my memories of my punk days in perth
Odd enough, I went from listening to a worship song to this being a suggestion. In the words of Billy Corgan from the Smashing Pumpkins, on the subject of worship music, "I just personally think God has a better taste in music than that". There are a handful of well written songs lyrically and musically in worship music, but they're rare. I want to see worship music on the level of Robert Smith's and Billy Corgan's song writing and production. I think all art displays a side of God's character, but I think there is still better and worse music, and I have to believe God thinks so too. God-serving artists need to create music with the texture, poetry, and production of artists like Robert. That would be worship on an entire different artistic level.
So true.. Christian music never has the dark side quality.. the only band I ever liked from that genre was IONA ..n a song or two from other artists. I wish there were true goth or metal music for Christ.. 🙂
@@AngeleDeux1 Listening to IONA now. I was trying to think of suggestions, but I don't have many Christian goth bands in my listening repertoire (Some have said the Awakening were a Christian band; not huge on them anyway). I'd say Falling Up has some more emotional musical depth and they have some songs with goth elements in them (listen to albums: Fangs, Captiva, Dawn Escapes, and Exit Lights). I have a number of Christian Industrial bands I've collected (Mortal, early Skillet, Klank, Circle of Dust (?)), some of which touch on the Goth thing. My biggest suggestion, if you're into metal as well, I'll say, check out the debut album from VAST, Visual Audio Sensory Theater (< that's the debut album's name). Amazing 90's heavier alternative record with industrial, goth, and world music elements. Full of real human experience from a Christian's perspective (there is cursing, depending on if that's a concern for you). Hope we find some more great Christian music.
40 years ago I found The Cure. 40 years later I'm still on this ride wanting more.
Cheers mate
I AM EXACTLY THE SAME!🙌
Some of the most deeply heartfelt love songs I’ve ever heard. They’re an emotional experience.
Robert is a treasure that will never be duplicated.
@@rickyallen8312 in future if something sounds like this,.robert or the cure,..the people will say:" ohh,.that sounds like the cure"..for ever ,..
I want this song at my funeral
❤
Hello ! You are Always alive ?! 👍🎸
One of my favorite The Cure songs. I watched The Dreamtour live at Wembley in 2000
I love watching Robert perform. You can see that he really feels this song here.
He's crying around the 2 minute mark 😭
One of the most heartbreaking, beautiful and melancholic songs ever written. Bloodflowers is so underrated
I cant believe how this song is better live.
Please The Cure, keep making music! You make my heart vibrate like nothing else.
The group is coming back to her basics, punk rock, genius after40+ years
Can't wait to see them live, maybe someday... My favorite band here. Must be emotionally draining to sing this song.
Looks like Robert is close to getting upset

@@minc5503 he is crying a bit at 2:02
words are meaningless when you share the bond of years...... one day silence will be all that you hear.....
That is lovely.
6 years later I read this and your words echo through me like a canyon sinking into my twighlight years. Thanks for the ride Robert.
3:25 Love Robert’s guitar which is beautifully sad here, not to mention Simon’s bass reverberates throughout the song!
I love see this song. I oversee this band. Timeless is the best word to describe The Cure.
Love in the past, love today, and still love forever! The cure
Heartbreaking at 2:04 :(((
Nothing left to say 😊

Pensé que se refería al largo suspiro.
This song is like scar tissue on a broken heart, i can still revisit the worst heartache, but it hurts differently now. In fact i kinda like it.
Going on 40 years of adoration. 💜✔💜☯️❣💋yet I only found this now? Thank you!

What a fuckin awesome song,...
Seems like it's the darkest Cure song. A hellscape, a Shakespearean lament of aging
Thanks Robert you are only getting even better with age,lve followed the cure from the early days and always brings back my memories of my punk days in perth
They get always better!!!

My favorite song of this album very good 🎸🖤🤟🏻 i love that sound effect of Simon's bass guitar Does anyone know what it is?

QUE VUELVA PORL THOMPSON EN GUITARRA, ES NECESARIO
Side by side....
Porl y Perry son los guitarristas de The Cure.
Keyboards / synth too loud on this version. Listen to the album take. Though the synth line is great, it deserves to be more discreet
But it is the loudest sound!
@@DriamAyalay I think the synth is perfect in this rendition of the song.
I AM SURE IT IS JUST WHAT ROBERT WANTED.
@@rickyallen8312 Absolutely, that's why I said what I said mate!
😭
this song sounds exactly like another cure song tho...
Worst song on the album.
