1964 New York World's Fair: Ford Magic Skyway

One of the most famous attractions at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair was the "Ford Magic Skyway" presented by Walt Disney as visitors rode Ford Mustangs on a journey back into the prehistoric past and into the future. Unlike other Disney attractions at the Fair, the Magic Skyway would not be duplicated at Disneyland or Disney World, though one dinosaur scene became part of the Disneyland Railroad (and the 1980s EPCOT attractions "World Of Motion" and "Universe Of Energy" also owed much to the Skyway). Since the Skyway existed before the days of camcorders and before home movies could allow for good interior shooting, I've taken some scenes from various official fair films (and one home movie also available on YT) and synched it to Walt Disney's narration for the ride from 1965 to offer as close a representation of what the ride experience was like. Because no film footage exists of the "future city" finale, artistic representations and animation is used for that part.
The ride system used for the Skyway would also prove to be a test for the "Peoplemover" attraction at Disneyland.
