- In this video we will be fitting some shock absorbers to a Nissan Micra K10, one that we actually used to own and sold in 2018! We take this oppertunity to have a look around the car and see how much it has changed to when we owned it. I hope you enjoy!

Fair play to you doing your own work on the cars. Nice to see a young person interested in doing things for themselves, carwise instead of being glued to their phones.
Brilliant little cars. My first ever car actually. Mine was an F reg, so a year younger than that one. It was a great little car. Regularly did 800 mile round trips up and down the M6 and A9. Once I went off the road in a snowstorm at Spittal of Glenshee. Thought I was a goner. I waited until I had visibility and the thing just drove over the snow, rocks and gorse back onto the road. It was amazing, unbreakable. Up there with the greats of motoring.
You cure the wobbly legs of the good old K10.

Nice Car for 33 years old 😯 when I lived in Norfolk when that Micra was new I always found the best cars for sale by the side of the road 🙂 keep up the good work looking forward to your next video 👍 great channel 👍👊🇬🇧
Very nice Micra for a 1987 one. My mom had a 1990 K10 Micra for 11 years with very little problems. Later I too had a 2001 Micra K11, drove it 3 years.

What i always found amazing are the people wanting to put mad money into a engine, but nothing into brakes and suspension! Good vid.
My Micra has a similar rust problem on the left, but even worse actually and it's not the only place sadly. But after I fix it, I plan to supercharger it. Might be a lot of fun having a supercharger in such a light car. Hope I'll be able to get my hands on March SuperTurbo someday, that is my wet Micra dream. :D
My dream is to get golf MK2 and fully restore it. You have a great knowledge of mechanics

Must be nice to actually be able to get parts. I have a 87 Micra and here in Canada part's are nonexistent. No body even knows the k10 Micra existed.

Wow a K10, i started off with one of those. Had a 1.0, but the engine failed after me ragging it for way too much. Managed to get a 1.2 engine from a newer crashed micra. And we fitted that into my car and kept the 1.0 gearbox. It was quite Nippy to say the least !. For an 18yr old anyway.
Had driving lessons in one of these when i was 17 in 1997, it had 300k on the clock! 😮🙂

Why are the seats called coffin seats? Never heard that term before.

It's just based on the shape of them i suppose as they slightly resemble a coffin, the headrest and seat is all in one rather than it being separate! Thanks for watching:)
I see you used a breaker bar on the wheel nuts. I always carry one in boot of car in case need to do wheel change. have struggled in the past at the roadside with a normal wheel brace makes life easier
Definitely! You can also get those sliding extendable breaker bars and they're handy as they're long enough to get some decent leverage on but shrink down to about as small as those useless little angled things that always seem to come as part of the standard boot toolkit.

The top washer was fitted the wrong way round.

Nissan micra sold in Canada with 1.2 lt or 1.6 lt fun but bad oil burners
Remember. Once,those schocks were brand new and shiny ones. Honour them.

Actually, it was unnecessary to change the shock absorbers. The old shock absorbers were almost like new ...😂
