The thing I love most about Alec's music is that it tells a story that can be translated so many different ways. The dance is incredible!!

This song carries a very strong meaning and i think it should be heard by everyone. It's an eye opener to toxicity and abuse in relationships, and personally I can say it helped me realize that as much as we love someone, sometimes we have to let that person go, for our own good.
I hope this song saves lives and helps people out there who are suffering from abusive relationships, often without being aware of it.

That it is, it is a painfully beautiful lyrical story
This song helped me let go of my ex who broke up with me. She was narcissistic and blamed everything on me. Made me believe I was absive and made me question everything I had done to try and figure out how I had hurt her when all I did was give her my love. She blamed me for my past trauma, saying I was too inesure when she never even texted me. (and we were long distance so her not texting me meant I didn't ever hear from her). She texted me 2 months after she broke up with me and told me she broke up with me because she was questioning her sexuality, but she still claims to be lesbian, so I have no idea. Idk why she broke up with me, idk what I ever did to her for her to be so cold towards me.
But this song, it helped me to let her go. She said maybe in the future we could try again, but after listening to this song on repeat and talking to my friends, I know it's best for me to not go back, no matter how much I miss her.
Love this song for so many reasons. I personally am not in an abusive relationship but I have seen it time and again and it usually ends badly for both people Involved. Walk away. Walk away. Walk away!

As a dv survivor/unaliving attempt survivor that resulted in 🧠 surgery, fibro, ptsd, backwards neck alignment & homelessness. Don't wait until it's too late. If I left at the first intuition..it would have changed my entire life. We lost all belongings, my health, the ability to have children, and the chance at a life where I can dance, jump on a trampoline with my kids, or have 1 day without excruciating pain. Life will never be the same for me. If you needed a sign..let this be it. You can do it. I wanted to be a dancer... this video brought me to tears. 💜

The dance brings this song so much more meaning. You can see the hurt in their faces, it's incredible. Your music is amazing and tells a wonderful story. That's why I love your music. But this dance, it's beautiful, it shows the story and meaning in the song. The abuse, the hurt, the pain, the love. These dancers are amazing at what they do and what they show through this song is mesmerizing. Bravo to you and the dancers!

I was in an abusive friendship with this guy who couldn't accept rejection even though I was being as nice as possible He made my life hell and I was terrified, I finally got help and he no longer bothers me. I'm still in school, I'm just a teen, I know for a fact I didn't deserve what he did to me, I am so thankful to Alec for this song, I believe I have been listening to his music for more than a year now and it really saved me from everything. If I could do one thing in the world it would be to give him a big hug. Thank you so much!

The dancers display this so well. The female shows signs of fear, sadness, and reluctance. Perfect for a victim. While the male shows no emotion, cold, lustful, harsh. It's absolutely amazing to watch, it sparks fear into the person watching. Along with raising awareness. Hats off to these two dancers and Alec.

The choreography of this video is so mesmerizing and beautifully done, it captures the image of the song "Devil doesn't bargain" so excellently. I truly wish I could see Alec Benjamin in concert, however I cant take myself (Im between the ages 12-15) and things are too expensive to go anywhere exept Iowa :( but I would so love to go. Ive been a fan of Alec Benjamin for a year now, know most of his songs and love them all ♡ I would consider myself to be pretty lucky and crazy fortunate to be able to attend one(a concert). Alec benjamin is a man that will never seize to impress me and help me (and many many others) throughout hardships. I am so greatful for everything he does, so thank you Mr. Alec Benjamin.♡
I was abused by three men. Each differently. Never thought I would find a guy that would love me and not hurt me. I got married September 2022 and I always fear it'll happen again because I'm not an easy person to love. But he knows my past and history and doesn't do anything to hurt me. I love the way BOTH dancers have movements that represent abusive actions. Domestic violence can come from any gender.
This dance shows so well how in an abusive relationship u give so much of urself to the point of exhaustion, and it leaves u hopeless while the other person is always ready for the next round of pain.

This place is really famous in Paris I like it a lot. It's a place where I've always been myself with or without my friends happy or not. It's also really used in some web series. I don't really know why but this place makes me feel. The choreography is also amazing so it's even more powerful. And the song you already know...
I love how every song can be interpreted differently by every person and still make such sense. This can be about more than one person like a boyfriend or a father or just a toxic friend. Been on repeat since release!! ❤️

2. If you think something repeatedly happening in your relationship can't possibly be normal or acceptable, reach out to a trusted outside opinion. Abusive partners will say and do anything to convince you to accept their abuse.
My only want is to see this dance performed with the genders swapped to raise awareness for male victims too.

This is amazing! I could feel the connection between the dance and the song's meaning. This is my interpretation: The girl is being abused in her relationship and trying to change the guy but failing. She ultimately tries to run away but finds herself trapped with the guy. Each time she is able to run away from the guy she feels like they can try again and that she can change the guy, but she finds herself in the same situation as before.
The choreography is amazing, I can see and feel the emotions rolling off of these two. It syncs beautifully with the song.

I have been listening to Alec's music for a few years now and I have to say that each of his songs, all have that unique feel to them that bring such raw emotions to the surface that it isn't even believable. In all of my life I have continued to search for something to bring me peace and to brighten up my day and I have to say that it was hard to do something like that, but in all of that searching, one thing I did find, was that it is basically impossible to have something in life that will no matter what bring you happiness. And I remember the days after that where I was sad all day long, regretting life and just feeling horrible. But then, I remember I was moping about on RUclips, and I somehow stumbled upon Alec's music. The first ever song of his I heard was "If We Have Each Other". At first I was about to skip it because I thought it was just another pointless song, but then I start to listen to the actual lyrics, I start hearing things that I could feel. I remember starting to cry a little and think about how dumb I have been. Sitting and regretting life, wasting my time instead of enjoying it. Then I remember desperately scouring the internet looking for who this guy was and if he had other songs or if he was a one hit wonder who made one good song and then fell. The thing I found was that Alec, was a genuine Musician. Alec was someone who was real in his music, someone who put soul in his music and actually feels his music, and that was the type of music that I wanted to listen to. I know that since that day, I have become someone who does more, feels more, and enjoys things more.
Honestly, I just want to say that Alec is an amazing artist, has been an amazing beacon of love, and hope and i wanted to thank him for all that he has done, and all that he will do. I really hope his career explodes as a musician and he becomes someone my kids could look up to. But, I just wanted to say Thank you, and I will always love you and your music.

I love how he finds new and creative ways to make music videos. It’s the opposite of what usually happens in videos where they just walk around in different locations and lip-sync.
I know it can be difficult to make music videos as an artist if you’re not always comfortable on camera, but this is a new and innovative work around that is just as good, if not better.
