In order to bring back these employees they would have to find buildings to lease again. Than you may say relocate the position to another state. We'll than your just replacing employees with higher salaries. There are some employees who were hired remote for lower salaries that team members are dispilursed throughout the country. This would make no sense to look for a building for some to sit at with no team members to interact with physically. If this is fully implemented, this would cause a major increase in government cost.

Republicans claim to be small government but increase governments size every chance they get. Under trumps first term we got Space force even though we already had Space Command under the Air Force and NASA. Yet more government from the small government party. Republican president before felon trump added ICE even though we had border patrol, added TSA yep lets tax payers pay for airport security instead of for profit airlines, created Homeland security and about a half dozen other 3 letter agencies under Homeland Security, more and more government that adds more and more debt brought to you by the party of small government who screams we have a spending problem! Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Next will be tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy, same playbook over and over and what does decreasing incoming revenue do the the national debt, that's right it increases it just like it has every time republicans have cut taxes, grown government and increased spending not just for them but for every president after that has to pay more interest and for more government created!

Working from home yields more productivity than working in the office. There's no water cooler conversation, being stuck in traffic, etc, etc. Trump is in real estate and is a businessman. With more people working from home permanently leases are being lost. RE owners are losing money. The micro economy of the area loses earnings because it's not getting the money from the employees throughout the week. This mandate is not about human productivity. It's about companies making money.

Canceling EV subsidies = more cost to consumers who want EVs (which ironically would pay LESS in energy cost… which contradicts his high energy cost argument)
Forcing Fed employees back to the office = more cost to those employees commuting to work
Higher Tarrifs = Even more cost to consumers
Deporting immigrants = potential More cost to consumers (due to removal of low wage employees being replaced )
How is this a good economic plan?

Musk has even stated get rid of subsidies and tax incentives on EV’s etc., to level the playing field vs government trying to manipulate choices. Tesla may offer a $25,000 EV this year if people interested in a basic transportation car. 40% of consumers do not have garages to charge overnight. Remember 10 years ago batteries for EV’s $1000/kwh. Now around $100/kwh for those car companies still buying batteries thru 3rd parties in Korea and China. Some of Tesla batteries $60/kWh. One reason Tesla has a 30% profit margin on their vehicles. EV’s will be cheaperand faster to build in the future. Especially when more battery factories in USA and more charging stations. Battery storage increases every year for night use of solar and wind. Tesla is an energy company that happens to make cars. Tesla also the most modern production lines, software platforms, FSD, Tesla chips, Dojo/colossus super computers, charging stations, solar panels, and soon STARLINK satellite WiFi/cellular in cars.
