    Man, i remember these as a child. These Mondo canisters are so odd looking and built, especially the motor

    The plug with the 2 inclined pins is the plug of Electrolux Sweden for the power nozzle since the 60‘s

    i used to have one of those, it was an interesting vacuum, I gave it to somebody because I didn’t want it I used it for like two or three years before I gave it away, and when I got it the powerhead sounded all weird and we couldn’t get belts at Walmart anymore because Walmart had stopped selling them so I said let’s Bring the power head to the dump

    The canister was actually made in Europe by the Swedish Volta division of the Electrolux company. The suction-only Volta version was called the Elyps. You can Google Volta Elyps and you will see all the different colours it came in. There is a parking slot on the side for the European wand that has remained on this North American version. Amazing how this vacuum is really connected to 4 different brand names of household appliance: Volta, Electrolux, Eureka and General Electric!
