Red Eyed Radio Interview
omny.fm/shows/red-eye-radio/e...
Opening Amazon packages that you forgot about is almost just like a miniature Christmas in September. Thanks for the show, Dan and friends.
Baking Soda mixed with water neutralizes battery acid..
Vinegar should also be able to neutralize battery acid. And then rinsing with lots of water.
Just rinsing everything with lots of water as quick as possible should also do the trick if you neither have baking soda nor vinegar handy when the "battery acid incident" occurs.
hi dan, you should buy a large bag of Baking Soda, that neutralizes acid. I use it on my boat. and other items. Soda is ok but it leaves every thing sticky and attracts insects. then the acid in the soda you have to worry about. Remember, the old timers use to pour coke on the rusted lug nuts to help with the removal ..
Good to see you back, Dan. Travel safe!!!
Sir. You have a great wife. While you're on the 🛣️ you know that home is being taken care of.
A spray bottle with soapy water is great for finding air leaks.
Mix baking soda and water, dump it on, then rinse off with clean water.
Glad to see you rolling again.
Dan, rule of thumb, change one battery, change them all at the same time! You will get better life out of them. On generator, usually when they shut off, it is either an oil sender switch or thermostat. Possibly a fuel filter that is getting plugged. I run a 10k Kubota in our coach. Sweet genny! Safe travels and yes, these rigs aren't cheap to fix!
Yayyy.....Snow Chains !!!!
Glad to see you and Bailey back on the road again. Safe travels.
You always have good content. I have always enjoyed it. Thank you and keep up the great work. Be safe and God Bless You and your family.
Oh just a Question...did you Ever look into making a set of "AUTOMATIC ROTATION TRUCK CHAINS "...OPERATION FROM A SWITCH FROM INSIDE THE CAB...YOUR INGENIOUS FIXES ,WE FIGURE BE A PEICE OF CAKE FOR YOU......😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Neutralize any acid spills on the vehicle and in the work area with baking soda. Then rinse the affected area with clean water. Always pour the concentrated acid slowly into the water when preparing electrolyte; DO NOT pour water into the acid. Constantly stir the water while adding small amounts of acid.
u dun good dan, good job
Glad to see you back Dan! Have a great week!! HI Teresa!!
You look rested.
Thank you for bringing us up to date. Have you noticed repair costs creeping up? . . . keep your orange truck between the ditches. . . . It should be easier with all the suspension upgrades. 😊
Glad you’re back Dan! Things will settle down and get a little better now.
Safe travels.
(Just a add on thought from last comment)Wow Dan Please dont Change your innovative inspiration Style ...Why Cant other Bosses understand that most Ideas are INSPIRATION by People's like Dan and BAILEY by a neat TEAMS 😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Dan. Good to see you got all that stuff fixed and had a little break from the road. And hi Teresa! Stay safe.
Good to see you're back on the road with a truck you don't worry at every litte clunk. I now about rebuilding the suspension. Rebuilt mine complete all of the suspension and shocks. Rides like a new truck.😊
Baking Soda and water works well for me for cleaning up acid from batteries..
truck's too cool to just sell off man ! 😎👍👍
Welcome back Dan!!!
Supertrucker. #1
My experience mixing old and new batteries ruines newer ones retired from mercer 2020
Good luck . Be safe 🙏
Awesome to see Theresa back she looked really good 👍
Keep your chin up, things will get better. Stay safe.
Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. Good to see you back in the saddle. It never fails, there is always something that needs your attention so that it gets fixed. That must have been a hefty shop bill with what all you got done. Your tires should start wearing better and like you said you are getting a better ride. It would be nice to sell the 03. Extra cash flow is always nice. I bet you enjoyed being home for over two weeks. Your home but not away from the trucks, you away from the road. Another fine video Dan. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.
Amazing work keep it up and also good to see you and Bailey again
Hey Dan. You’re a hard worker. I promise if I ever hit the lottery you’ll retire. 💵💰💰💰💰💰
Good to see you mounted up again Dan.
Hey, why not get some merch and raise some funds? You could sell some t-shirts off your name alone.
How about something like:
I’m not the “Only Fan” of the STD (Super Trucker Dan)
(Somebody send this guy a sticker with Hi Teresa on it so he doesn’t keep losing it)
Looking good Dan , Teresa looking good Dan Little Bailey looking good , I thought you had a water hose from your tank that you carry water , Take and spray all the batteries off , and spray the box out , But that's why I do not buy 2 batteries at 1 time , I buy all 4 , That's good you got the king pens all the brushings and everything done , hopefully you done a 3 axle alignment which I think you did , For sure no sense in having them too truck setting around , If it was me I would sell them too ,
be safe take care yourselves Dan
Welcome back Dan, was getting worried.
When he goes home it's usually for a week or two and he doesn't usually record/post videos while home
Have a great weekend from the imperial county California 👍👍🇺🇲

Happy to see you again
8:15 The elusive Teresa. Hard to find in the wild.
All you need for battery acid (sulfuric acid) is water. In another container, its used as aluminum brightener. Coke has phosphoric acid in it. People use it to clean corrosion, but keeping your battery dirt free, connections tight and protected, all vehicle grounds clean tight and protected, there wont be corrosion. And will last 10-15 years or more. Assuming the batteries are quality to begin with, and kept fully charged at all times, placed on trickle chargers occasionally, especially before winter.
Cheers Dan glad you guys are back.
Let’s see if I run into you in the upcoming months we work that area in the winter for produce season
Cool video Dan 👍
Thanks Dan
I love your pembroke Welsh Corgi❤
Love ur property.
HEY DAN GREAT VIDEO !!
🙏🙏🙏.. enjoy your videos 😊stay safe out there you and your co-pilot Bailey 😊
Maintenance, pmcs all the time. Never end. Enjoy home time, safe travels.
Welcome back! Safe travels! Don't forget about the new Loves in Willcox, Az 😃
SO VERY GLAD TO SEE YOU AND BAILEY BACK. ONCE AGAIN THANKS FOR EDUCATING ME ON TRUCKING STUFF I NEVER KNEW EXISTED. I FIND IT FACINATING. MY ONLY CONNECTION IS A
1998 CHEVY S-10 4X4.
I was over at a buddies place Thursday, they run 30 trucks. Apparently shocks are the latest hot commodity to be hard to get??? The fun continues.
Glad to see you and Bailey back on the road again. MATS 2023 seems like such a long long time ago.
Be safw
Safe travels… Great to see you posting again. Give Miss Bailey a hug, smooches, & scratches behind both ears. ❤❤❤❤. Understand abt repairs, I’m on Disability but need new tires ($1000) & repairs ($1200) on my Santa Fe; plus some home repairs
Hi Teresa ! 👋
Back to work 💪💯 let's go
Good morning from south Florida! There are not many driver's who work on there own trucks. I give you a lot of credit. I drive for a company and I do all my own maintenance. The mechanic refuses to work on the 18 wheelers. It's a landscaping company. Hi Bailey.
Dan, that's true about coke, and if it's dark, it does work
Again a cool and interesting video 🙂.
Awesome that the 03 Pete just started right away 🤩. It’s like she wants to be back on the road with you 😊😎.
I can understand that you might have a hard time to sell it or not, cause you’ve put a lot of money time and memories with it.
Hope you don’t have to sell it and that you can take your time to make your decision if to sell or not.
Thanks for sharing your tour’s/ life with us.
In my opinion the job of a trucker is not much appreciated in society (especially in Europe).
Which is a bad thing.
Cause without you and your colleagues who drive day and night through year after year, the world we know today would not be possible.
So great thanks to you Dan and also your colleagues 😉.
Always have a nice and safe trip 💪🏻👍🏻.
Coke is acidic and isn't going to "neutralize" battery acid. You would need something alkaline for that. Pack a couple boxes of baking soda for that job.
Dan, using a coke to neutralize acid is true. The Bicarbonate in coke is the same as a Alka Seltzer. Had a doctor tell my now passed away mom that if she was getting a upset tummy to drink( sip) a coke to settle it. He was old school doc and didnt like giving scripts for simple fixes. So pour away with the coke. Also a mixture of baking soda and water- same thing. Be sure and tell why you put chains on to get across Colorado - The Chain Law. Keep between the mustard and mayo on the road.
Baking Soda can be used to neutralize battery acid. Coke to clean corroded battery terminals.
Stayed there before
Glad you're back out there Dan. Trucks eat money. I change batteries in my truck every 3 years whether they're good or not and I only buy Astro lights batteries. They seem to be a lot better battery and there made in the USA. Stay safe Dan and Bailey I'll see you on the next one.
Hello 👋 Baby Bailey! 👍🙏
Dan a small trick I learned from my dad who was a GM Service Mechanic was to drill a 1/4" hole on the plate of the stat,
it may open a few seconds later but is also allows some fluid circulation should the stat become stuck shut!
Missed your videos
Fingers X `ed, u leave problems behind. :o)
We have a 01pete it 2x the truck compared to the 22 freighters.
Vent door actuator
just order new shirt thank you
Hey Dan your too strong for your own good your not supposed to be able to break them J-plates😂😂😂😂
I use white vinegar to deal with battery acid. It's also cheaper than Coke.
Did Bailey get a lollipop with her haircut?😂
Have ever drove through mammoth az
Who ever the lucky person that gets buys the 03 Pete ,should know that Dan maintains and takes great care of his trucks. Question Dan is that the Pete with the platinum cat rebuilt engine package?
Dan seems abit down at mo.. Hope all is well.
Good morning from Florida
Welcome back. I miss you new video. Say hi to Belly.
How much you asking for that truck. Have a nice day.
Was in Las Vegas the 3rd week of September. Wonder how close you were or if you were even there. Bummer.
I thought you already had sold the Pete with paccar engine.
I was taugt to NEVER mix new and old batteries. Otherwise what happened to you is the what can happen. If not a complete battery fail, you will ruin all three. The old batteries stress out the new.
Dan. It was time for you to get 🏠. Be with the family. Rest your 👁️👁️🧠 and body 🤭🥱🤗😴. Enjoy the wife. You have been truckinn for a few years. Made it 🏠 safely. 🧡 🚛 Have taken care of you and 🐕🦺. Sit a spell. Put your feets up. Chill. You deserve it. 🇺🇲🚛
Another great video, but I don't think you will ever sell the 2003 truck :)
Hi, Dan. I always enjoy your videos, I learned a lot from you, at the end I finalize doing flatbed too. It’s nice have new videos. How much will you ask for the Pete 03?
👍
What does going over the Rockies do to your fuel milage?
Keep on trucking Dan
Do you need snow chains with you year round in Colorado on an 18 wheeler? I knew you had to have them in the winter through the mountain states but was surprised to hear you put them in this early.
