Having used both cameras, for those who are beginners I would suggest you to go for M50 Mkii. Although, 200Dii appears to be a very good camera on paper with a reasonable price, its real life performance is average. The OVF coverage is just 95% and has a puny 9AF point system. It makes a lot of noise when you click pictures and continuous shooting is just pathetic. The M50ii is a much-much better camera and is worth the extra price. I think if you are buying a new camera it would be better to invest in a mirrorless system as DSLR technology will soon become obsolete.

I would suggest you to buy villtrox speedbooster adaptor which will reduce the inherit crop factor which 1.6x and plus it will give you additional 1 stop of light - if you will use ef 50mm with speedbooster- it will be almost similar to full frame 50m as effective crop would be 50*1.6*0.71 = 56.8mm. I am using this combo and trust me it is rocking one!
puri video mein m50 ki tareef kari aur last mein palat gaya....i was so shocked maaaan....you ignored all the advantages of m50 and chose 200d with basically no significant benefit other than battery😂 if you really want to use canon ef lenses you can always use an adapter. plus you can buy a speed booster that will take the m50 very close to a full frame camera which you can never do with an ef-s mount camera.

EVF vs OVF, how much difference is this from your point of view and from a beginner's point of view.
Frankly speaking - I don't like EVF because it's not exactly real. (it's electronic). OVF is great - you feel like you're clicking a picture
