I really liked your video, because before i watched it, i thought damage reduction would be at least a 5, but you explained all the abilities above it so well and why they are better, that i cant disagree. Imo giant form is really good but i do feel the lack of damage and thats understandable, u can take it all, not die and deal damage!, but currently vs gofrieza, giant form is for defence only, and thats pretty sad. I hope we get a giant form that will deal tons of damage one day
Something you forgot to mention is that Giant Form allows you to bypass character locking cuz if you switch the giant form characters you're actually switching your main rotation characters too, so if a slot 3 gets locked in slot 1 you can just pop a giant form and move the first character portrait to slot 3 and then when the giant form ends they'll have their spots changed
The red zone mission vs Babidi's forces where you had to win with 5 INT units in 7 turns was a nightmare. On my winning run i had to put cheelai in slot 1 for 10 attacks. She dodged 8 including the super!
For me Lr Phy Gogeta blue active skill is the strongest thing you can do in the game is just so busted, basically does what piccolo does but with a masive amount of damage
The only time the self target ability is useless is when you face a boss with aoe attacks like str and int omega, but even then, it's just a busted ability.
Bare minimum I think revival is top 5. If you are one of those people like Truth who does everything without items and support memories. To me a revival is powerful ability to have in your back pocket when taking into account how powerful bosses are and how some does cheeky things like sealing, locking, canceling dodge and so on.
i say taunt is better than giant form, because the down side with giant form is once you are out of it and you didnt beat the boss phase, you will still be stuck with a weak rotation that can get you killed after giant form if that was your reason for using giant form along with doing not much dmg. taunt saves you from the weak rotation all together with the exception of attack alls
Something a lot of players don’t realize is that the turn you come back from giant form, the boss cannot super. So it’s also an attack break that targets the super everytime which combined with the essentially free damage is why it’s so good. Taunt is also nuts but I’d give a slight edge to giant form.
Ghost usher should be easy 1. its just straight up better than dodge bcs it protects the full rotation, its better than taunt bcs of aoe's and its also better than giant form bcs the giant form doesnt protect against normals. Only case you can make in this is that giant forms can actually deal some dmg but even piccolos dmg is almost negligable by now. i would also argue taunt > giant form bcs the only edge giant form has over taunt is aoe's but normals are a lot more common than aoe's. Otherwise great list.
ghost usher is the true number one. I'm sorry, the algorithm is wrong. no other ability can fully prevent you from dying. you can still die in the taunt specially when the games reaches new metas, dodge units can still die if they don't or can't dodge, and giant forms deals almost no damage, even if the enemy is glitched, normals can still kill. Yes i'm saying this only because buu exists, he is the one that makes the ability shiny the most, having two turns (if you are using i'm as a leader) where you simply cannot die is just too good. Furthermore almost all other abilities relly on others, dodge units some times have guard or damage reduction, all taunt units have other effects, cell max is more or less the exception, he does gain defense which is technically not an ability but at the same time it is. So yes ghost ushering is the most broken ability
These are all fair points but with the usher you can also delay the attack for the turn and just die right after if all those attacks were placed in slot one, there’s inherent weaknesses to basically every single ability
@@PhizerV I don't really see it has a big problem, when talking about giant form (the other ability that make you immune to damage) at the end of the day the same 3 characters are going to appear, where with the ghost usher you have the next rotation. If you want to protect a weaker character ghost usher truly makes the safest option since other abilities aren't 100% bullet proof. It's not perfect as you said, but it's usage and the fact that it doesn't need other abilities to work amazingly makes it the best in my opinion.
Giant form is the strongest ability in this game bar none. The things you can enable with it just makes it hard to compete with period. Not only does it cancel out the turns potential incoming attacks. But also enables you to do dumb amounts of free damage. And if that wasnt nuts enough, you can enable really dumb shenanigans like orb manipulation and extending turns of turn based effects like passive guard that only lasts a few turns or other buff based effects because giant form pauses your turn count. Let's say you're in a phase of a fight and you have a turn or 2 left on your guard or damage reduction. You can pop a giant form and clear the hp bar of the phase and hop into the next phase and not really waste your turn effects. For what giant form does its objectively the strongest ability in the game.
giant forms are almost always automatic and not an active skill like op. Most of the time they just get in the way when you dont want it. It's also only one turn unlike most of the things on this list. Id rather a unit have guaranteed guard or an automatic 50% dr rather than just a giant form
Dodge is definitely miss tbh. DR and Guard are superior since they're always more or less guaranteed and easy access. On the other hand characters with dodge most of the time suck defensively and get destroyed if they miss. And since bosses with dodge nullification keep appearing it's pretty hard to place it in a higher place than the other abilities i just listed. Dodge really is just big meh, if it works amazing, if it doesn't you're dead. I'd rather not take any more chances considering this game already is big RNG.
Dodge at number 3 is ridiculous, I wouldn't put it anywhere over number 8 and never, ever, above damage reduction or guard, because outside of the few goats who get 100% dodge, it's an unreliable mechanic that's just waiting to screw you over when you least need it whereas DR and guard tell you precisely what damage you are shaving off. %dodge chance is only as good as the other defensive abilities of a unit. When you only have to worry about super attacks, yeah, 70% dodge means that 7 times out of 10, you will take no damage from that super attack which is pretty good. But what happens when the unit can't take normals anymore? Dodge or die, RNG fest, a last resort I won't rely on unless forced to. Dodge is awful, its usefulness is highly conditionnal and one of the highest sources of frustration in Dokkan. Hell, ZLR STR UI Goku is already getting thrown out of his teams... well first because his teams got a slew of busted units post 9th anni, but also because he's the number 1 cause of death on them, his defense is already getting outscaled by the hardest post SA normals leading him to literally dying in 2 hits if he doesn't dodge. There's a reason why 100% dodge is appearing more and more, because it's the only way dodge can even compete with other defensive abilities.
How is revive higher than scouter when revive always has value and can save you and scouter can help you forsee your own death Revive just has more value

Ok I think like Dodge is a little bit too high ( Did Truth pay you or something 🤣) Like I would have put it at 5 behind Scouter or Ghost Susher. Like if you only included 70% to 100% dodge I would have been ok with it but you include all form of dodge ( 30% and 50% too ) And I can't see any way to put them above ghost. Like all the argument you use to put Target at 2 are applicable to Ghost too ! Like with Ghost : 1. You also protect your weaker unit 2. You also denied boss action And more since you denied action, if the boss can heal or can't canarage anymore ( because target don't stop the enenemies to heal and carnage attack are not stop by the target so for those boss , Ghost is far better ) + Ghost don't force to put the unit on the 3rd slot because when you target with beast or Gogeta it's better to put them there to have maximum damage. ( it can fuck your rotation sometime when you are force to target early because the boss lock the wrong unit in slot one ) ghost don't have that problem ! +Even if we take a 100% dodge unit like teq Caulifa if she dodge all attack of the turn and your 3rd slot got kill or if she dodge all and the carnage just kill you is it really better and just stoping the boss for doing anything ???? With Scouters, you can easily just forsee your own death. Ghost Ushers, in my experience, can just delay attacks onto potentially weaker units on another rotation, like how the TEQ Androids could do against Red Zone Broly on AGL Cells team since that team didn’t have a plethora of slot one units. Revives are great but they also tend to happen deeper in fights which docks them a bit
@@PhizerV I mean this just isn’t true unless you’re talking about hypotheticals where you run weak characters scouters and ghost ushers are strong because they mix with the other defensive mechanics but do more of the work also I disagree with the deep in the fight thing being an issues with revives because one you’ll get them when you die if you die at the start if you don’t then later on it’ll save you

People forget LR 9y Gogeta heals 54% HP for 4 turns from transformation. So he has 2 guaranteed 54% heals. It's so useful.

Question, why is the taunt superior to the ghost usher? One protects from AOEs. The other doesn't
Aoe right now only matters in one fight,taunt helps everywhere,and most times the super is what really matters
