    Ok people who are saying they don’t love them they are being cruel to the animals THEY DO love them they care for them and spend all day with them and no they don’t train circus acts in bathtubs all it is just natural behaviors and dolphins are extremely intelligent and need mental and social stimulation so of course they need to be worked with so yes they have to learn new things and why not preform them as well to practice behaviors and allow the public to learn about them dolphins 🐬❤️

    if you truly love animals, you shouldn't be fascinated by seeing them in small pools and behind bars. animals should be in their natural environment

    • @michellecollao584

      gewd point!, but i believe it's for the better good, that they stay in their safe environments, albeit, humanly handled, and thus, new to the new "creature", but excellent for Us to predominantly observe, and possibly, peer-sin-delvert, our American ideals, we culd help these animals to survive by, such as, use "copycat", as they already learn, to adjust/adapt to their brand new home-away-from home.

    I don't know, it depends. Some people are just 'animal smart'. If you aren't you can end up doing some severe harm. I think psychology and animal behavior are two of the more important fields to understand. I think the real discrimination lies with their selection of what I like to call "smiley extroverts". People are who experts at spreading lies to naive but they look good doing it.

    more than the distance, they wont let me, a 16 year old volunteer anywhere. they say you have to be 18+ and have to have experience dealing with people (like customer service)...
    the nearest zoo for me would be Safari, its around 2-2.5 hours by car (i dont have a license and my parents dont have the time, the bus takes at least 3 hours). there is a biodome, its also 18+ but its a lot nearer than the zoo. there is an SPCA 10 minutes by bus, but again, 18+. is there any other way?

    Thank you! Everyone keeps saying you can become a vet tech in some places via hands on experience, but it seems as if that is only possible if you have a close relative who's already a vet tech or an actual vet and like I said I have ZERO interest in domestic animals. I have no idea what this "studying" people talk about actually means. It's one of those vague terms people just seem to expect you to be born knowing the definition of.

    I wanted to be a zoo vet, but I had to drop out of school due to a nervous breakdown. None of the vets want volunteers and the closet zoo is over an hour away and I can't drive. I'm really thinking about just saying "fuck it" and joining the ALF.

    Working with animals or anything related to animals that I would like and know things about them with the trainers always has been my thing that I want to do as a part time job or volunteer to work with animals. I also know about the dark side of this job that now is making me start to cry. But as dangerous job I am really still want to do. What colleges I can go to that are animal related to
    I am a animal lover yes nicely. This is what I want to do.

    • @eleacahuet1002
      @eleacahuet1002 8 лет назад

      Depends what you want to do. Study them, train them... Find your field (zoology, biology, ethology....) and I recommend starting with a general idea before going in the specific jobs like start with biology and then specialize in whatever like ethology or botany....
      Your studies depend on the country and the college. Some you have to do years of zoology and then start biology and some you start straight ahead with biology.

    • @missallison1387
      @missallison1387 9 лет назад +1

      If you really love animals and want to help their species then consider becoming a marine biologist so that you can study them in their natural habitat, the ocean. Becoming an animal trainer just means that you will be making them preform circus tricks in a tiny tank. No one who truly loves and respects these amazing creatures would want to do that for a living.

    @Orkid8591 look for a pound or shelter. If you don't have one do some research into getting one in your town.

  • @XpoldingToast
    @XpoldingToast 13 лет назад +1

    @lovlyanime I think you should volunteer with domestic animals(Local animal shelter). They are more worthy of support. See zoos for what they are: display cases. The animals probably aren't very happy in such small places. Be careful of who you choose to support.

    I'm upset about how a degree is required. I have SEVERE learning disabilites and probably would be considered mentaly challanged by the academic community. I couldn't finish high school without having a nervous breakdown. What extactaly is a college course going to teach me that actual expirence wouldn't? I'm beginning to suspect the need for a degree is a sneaky form of discrimation.

    @metridium Points 1 and 2 excellent. Its funny how when your average Joe or small time animal worker does something wrong the activist go crazy. But when big dealers like Sea World keep a large whale in a tank barely big enough for a goldfish silence as they look the other way.

  • @misspinkpunkykat

    Sometimes the "best" a person can do isn't anything a college or university would even bat an eyelash at. I'm considered mentally challenged and couldn't even finish high school because of it. I have ZERO interest in domesticated animals but every sort of wild animal career requires at least a college degree. I've tried pushing myself but all I get for my effort is a mental breakdown.

    • @michellecollao584

      *unfortunately, i believe in the motto, "you're dealt what you're gonna get", meaning, yuh might want to reconsider, those domestics! Because, ever horses, are in some ways, considered domestic! So, try to tread, as like on egg shells, cuz you're gonna loss patience, either way! So, figure oubt, ferst, what to do about your ferst degree, then, make do, with those domestics, yeah?

  • @XpoldingToast

    @MrConnorGames I used to believe that they were, but I was a gullible child then and believed what the trainers at the show told me. Then I got older and thought about it. Now, I have difficulty imagining how anyone would be happy in a place like that. Small space, Same companions, dead fish, all excessive noise, no waves, no surfing... To me, it sounds like a circus, display case, and prison blended into one.

    Working at these prisons is an act of selfish love. It's an indulgence to experience captive creatures that belong home. People who truly love animals will want for the animals to be happy and free.
