There's just something about the older GTA games (and few newer ones, preferably the 3D universe) when it came to sound design for weapons. The weapon sounds in GTA III, VC, LCS and VCS sound more realistic. Rockstar really took their time when it came to the development of weapons in these above mentioned games. Some weapons were quite overpowered in Vice City not gonna lie.💀 The fact that some of them could kill an enemy in either a second or under was crazy. So overpowered that players could use most of the weapons to destroy enemy vehicles even helicopters for instance. (Leaving out explosive weapons to convey my opinion).

I believe that the downgrade of the sound and design of the weapons in San Andreas is to fit more space on our PS2 discs, just like when you get a car and then several cars appear just like yours on the street

Los sonidos de las armas de Vice city me dan mas miedo , por que ver a un enemigo cerca tullo con cualquier arma , te mata antes de que puedas reaccionar, ya que los enemigos en vice city tienen mejor puntería, los enemigos del Gta San Andreas parecen niños controlando las armas

Gta San Andres Buscaba parecerse a los sonidos reales o que sean creíbles mínimo pero Gta Vice City tiene mucha mas personalidad y es mas ""estético"", Al ser un juego parodia o un juego algo desenfadado le queda perfecto tomarse esa libertad. Amo esos sonidos, tan míticos.

I never liked any of the sound effects in San Andreas. Always sounded cheap and unrealistic. Why they didn't just reuse the VC sound effects I'll never know.
