Really well paced script, didn’t realise I’d suddenly watched nearly 20min worth of cave lights haha. It’s interesting seeing how each company approached the lighting/button systems in very different ways - but only one happened to avoid the allen key..
Hello Dr. Harris .. good to see you in the building shed. Was a great treat meeting you in Cozumel last July.. I just finished to set up one similar to one of those for my upcoming Cave Training!! Blessings from Central Florida!
I have been caving with a Scurion for many years, but I recently switched to Phaeton, as it is so much lighter and I can use standard batteries (the same as for my backup light). Only disadvantage of the Phaeton: It doesnt show how much power is left in your batteries (the Scurion does).
Hello, thank you for your video, not much people talk about all theses lamps. I want to buy a new lamp for dry caving, and the Phaethon looks very good. In fact, Argolamp with 21700 has 41% more capacity, but i think for the same mode, it is less than 41% in terms of duration, so less efficient maybe... And Scurion don't use universal battery, big problem in my opinion. I wish you greats explorations !
@@DrHarryH that's awesome will you be posting a video of that? Would be awesome to see, there is very little to no footage out there that compares to your previous video
Instead of taping the Allen key to your helmet have you thought about magnets? You can attach it to your tank or you can epoxy a magnet to whatever you want. I run RC cars and I’m always loosing those little metal body clips so I started glueing magnets under the body. Just find some strong rare earth magnets and I bet you won’t loose another Allen wrench.

Hi Richard, will a video about your experience with hydrogen in the Pearse Resurgence be published? It'd be so interesting!
Yes, but hopefully in the form of a documentary...watch this space!
Love these videos, subjects that are perfect or the enthusiast that aren't discussed anywhere else.
As a Caver, The Scurion is the best. Hard to use the switches with thick gloves on though
Other deep cavers would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks for sharing, Richard.
Thanks for the review! Did you ever try the meandre technologie helmet light?
Thanks for Sharing.. Dr. Richard.
Hi Richard - have you guys made any attempt to go further in the Pearse since your last video to 245m?
No, but we did another dive using hydrogen as a breathing gas to 230m there this year.

Anyone know of a site that will sell the new Argo in North America yet?
The Argo Lamp website is down. Is there anywhere I can find them in the US?
Yes he said he is upgrading the site.
did you find one in the US? I'm also looking
@@SquirrelMasterT1 I think you will have to get them direct from Argolamp. I see the website is back up now.
