This is great for my state npfa states we can have sirens yet the state says otherwise . Helps immensely on fire calls people don't pay attention too lights sometimes
Yes, of course. The perfect 100Watt Speaker to be used with this PAP112 is Whelen Engineering's SA315U sirennet.com/whelen-sa315p-projector-series-speakers.html
If you don't already have it, definitely download a copy of the "Up fitters Guide". It doesn't say how to wire this exact unit into the car, but it does give a lot of helpful information and diagrams.
Can the air horn and pa be used simultaneously? I’m trying to use this pa with the pa feed out of my cb so that I only have 1 microphone in my cab. I’d assume the ptt circuit grounds out at some point to make the ptt handset route to the pa. So I’m curious if doing so turns off the air horn while it’s depressed. Can you confirm?
Good morning. We double checked with Whelen; the PA mic. will override the Air horn tone if you hold down your momentary button. They won't function simultaneously.
Here's the link to the PAP112 if you're interested in placing an order online. Along with the Airhorn amplifier you'll also want to get a 100watt speaker. The SA315P works great! It's what the sound emits from. sirennet.com/whelen-100-watt-air-horn-plus-with-pa-function.html sirennet.com/whelen-sa315p-projector-series-speakers.html
You don't really need a Siren Controller for this Unit. All that is needed is a Single Momentary or an on/off Switch for controlling the Airhorn tone. A momentary works best. It can also be tied into your vehicles horn relay, so it works with the OEM horn press.
Hmmm, interesting. Did you just recently install the PAP112 and this is happening? Does this seem to happen just with the Airhorn tone, or with the PA microphone as well?
+Seth Allen At this time, we are planning to continue offering the PAP112 and a Speaker as independent Parts. Based on the Vehicle and the end-user's preference for the Speaker itself as far as size and Brand, offering them separate seems to work best.
I really am looking to purchasing this. I have some wiring experience such as wiring electrical outlets. However I cannot understand how to wire this to a push button inside of the cabin of the car. Are there any tutorials on this?
+Donovan Grimsley Hi Donovan. If you don't mind, please give us a call at (888) 959-0911. Our Technical Service Department will be able to offer you some helpful advise.
We turned the volume level down because at full volume in the studio you would have to wear hearing protection and the recording would be distorted. Trust me it is VERY loud at full volume.
The momentary switch we used is actually from a gunlock timer. It works great. Please email our Sales Team at: info@sirennet.com. They can get you details. :)
It's available on the PAP12 pages drop-down. If you'd like to order one, please contact our sales team at: (888) 959-0911. We do offer them independent of the air-horn.
I have one of these in my Crown Vic, and it's amazing the effect it has when you use it on someone who just cut you off :D
CVPIfan you should help me when I get mine lol
Can anyone please let me know if I can, as a civilian, legally put this on my Crown Vic in PA?
The state law I read is a bit vague. Thanks.
@@Nastafar It's merely a horn so yes, if it was a siren with siren tones that might be different
Thank you for not giving us an example of the 3 different available tones. None of is could have used that.
Thanks for listening to feedback about a showoff/test of the siren :)
+Anton iveees You're welcome :) And Thank You for watching : )
This is great for my state npfa states we can have sirens yet the state says otherwise . Helps immensely on fire calls people don't pay attention too lights sometimes
Any chance of getting a demonstration of the other two horn tones mentioned? Thanks!
+HedgehogOutdoors We'll get that in the works :)
+SIRENNET Thanks!
I have a bunch of Chris videos in my play list and I watch as his beard grows or disappears or his hair grows haha
Oh, that's funny! 😁
You need a new video showing the pulse tone🤔
Can you recommend a Really good quality speak to use with this?
Yes, of course. The perfect 100Watt Speaker to be used with this PAP112 is Whelen Engineering's SA315U sirennet.com/whelen-sa315p-projector-series-speakers.html
Wish you showed how to wire into Ford Taurus PI, I don’t have experience with wiring

Could u hook up a siren controller to this and if so what model controller

Does this come with instructions on wiring the air horn to the horn ring?
Where to get replacement mic?
Why do I get loud motor-boating after activating the horn?
Hmmm, interesting. Did you just recently install the PAP112 and this is happening? Does this seem to happen just with the Airhorn tone, or with the PA microphone as well?
@@SIRENNET It's the older model. Happens after keying the mic. I can stop it by turning volume down but then the volume is to low to be useful.
Is there a way to make the airhorn dual toned?
The PAP112 is just single tone.
Any chance you'll set this up as a package deal with a speaker?

What guage wire is recommended for the set up?
18 or 16 gauge, depending on how far it's being run.
@@SIRENNET it will run from under the driver seat to the front of the 2012 explorer
@@martinb554 18-Gauge is the size you'll want to use.
was that the low tone air horn you demonstrated? did not seem that loud

What is the name of that switch? i want to get the same switch for my application.

SIRENNET Out of curiosity, how big of a resistor do you need to be able to adjust the volume of a siren?
@sirennet. Where do I get the extender
Please visit our direct link to the PAPEXT15: sirennet.com/store/product/whelen-100-watt-air-horn-plus-with-pa-function
SIRENNET I only need the cord, I didn’t see the option when I placed the order

How do i stop the Static in my PA
In some instances an extension with a shield wire may be needed to stop feed-back/static. Are you using the PAPEXT15 mic extension harness?
SIRENNET no i am not using the Extension, i have the system in my middle consol.
Has it had static since installation or is this something that's recently started to happen?
SIRENNET I believe started to happen recently
How long have you had it? Any changes to the vehicle recently as far as electronics or add-on's?
How do you make a five and a half long video on a PA/air horn unit without ever showing what it sounds like? What a waste.
