I love that vibe, coming from tyler, singing those songs. His voice is much more gentle. If you don't understand what i mean, just listen to the studio version of for example "Holding on to you" and then to the live version from the blurryface era. Or any other older song. Tyler and josh during the blurryface era sometimes make me think they are different people, from those who they were during vessel era and earlier. They just got rid of so many things me and other fans liked in them before. Like their "simplicity" (sry for my poor choosing of words). I mean now we got this complicated blurryface character, and him "taking over tyler", their new dark-red outfits, the painted neck and hands. And seeing this vid it kinda made me happier that they "stick to their roots", still "remember" their older songs and sometimes take some time to play them.

when im down or having a tough time i listen to them singing their older music (RAB, Self Titled) live, at festivals, concerts from a while back, and in medleys like this one. i got into their music when Vessel came out and that album means so much to me. and one thing that is soso powerful is hearing a crowd sing "we're broken people" it makes you feel less alone and really can lift your spirits. when Trench came out, that is when my mum finally let me go to one of their concerts. and i cant even explain how much that concert has helped me. hearing Tyler's voice in person pulled at my heartstrings and watching Josh drum was just beautiful. these boys are so inspiring and has saved so many wonderful lives. the Trees performance is just, absolutely wonderful. the whole concert was. the speeches, Tyler always making sure and asking "how is everyone" and "is everyone here happy to be alive tonight" then hearing the scream in response is life changing.
soon after the concert, i joined a huge discord server. and that server is full of wonderful fans and the Clique is just full of such nice and caring and amazing people and i cant appreciate you guys more.
and this is really mushy and cheesy but honestly i love Ty and Josh more than anyone, they saved me and i cant thank them enough. but thank you, thank you for making a difference. you guys truly are amazing.

It's really sad to think that most songs from Vessel are just parts of a "throwback medley" only.
