I really wish I could see this combination in professional NBA game, it might be just an anime, but it is one of the masterpiece technique that close to logical and real even though it is super difficult to be done.
Even though it might seem to make sense, it really doesn’t. First, there’s the problem of controlling the ball when it gets in your hand. I really don’t see how you could catch the ball with your palm facing upward. Second, when you make a jump shot, a lot of the velocity transmitted to the ball comes from the upward motion of your legs. If you’re already in the air, then your shooting arm has to all the work.
Your explanation just proves his point: its NOT impossible. Its like a shot form of Kuroko's passing style. Disregard the accuracy, it could actually be done.. you can just adjust the distance of the shooter to the ring to make up for the need additional arm strength
U also need to completely stop the sideways momentum when u catch the ball (adjusting for the recoil with perfect timing). Not ‘impossible’, but would be a one in a million type of thing, would love to see pros attempt this, maybe with enough attempts they could make one
@@dragonic22 thats not even 1% close to it. the pass that midorima had to catch came in basically a straight line. this one came in an arch also he caught it with 2 hands and adjusted his hands properly after. i think yall never played basketball if you think midorimas shot is even close to realistic. sure if you would try it a million times it might work once cuz of sheer luck but goodluck doing that in a match.
Midorima was always my favorite player of GOM in the whole series. Aomine was magnificent, Akashi's emperor eye was thrilling, With perfect copy and other copy techniques Kise was enjoyable to watch, Murasakibara was a pure monster with a low IQ though lol, Kuroko was an unpredictable passing master, Kagami was an excellent jump guy. These characters were all excellent. But Midorima was totally in a different level. And he was the only GOM along with Kuroko who never entered zone. Midorima was not only a shooting guy. His defence was also good and he could have been pretty good in other attacks too if he wanted.
midorima is really the gom i respect the most since day one. dude literally was always giving his all and never underestimated his opponets, even in middle school when aomine and murasakibara were skipping practice and having some inside game competitions with kise too, he was like the only one playing for real and giving his all. And on top of that his character development in seasons 3 is also crazy good, dude got my respect even though he seemed super arrogant at the beggining of the series.
@@pitterr5 Well, as a player with 100% Accuracy to shoot the ball from anywhere in the field. Any person would act arrogant but with Midorima, he is just serious and stern with everything.
I just realized why Midorima never went into the zone. That’s simply because he always gives his 100% in all the games he plays. So, it’s like he’s already in it to begin with. Also, he’s the only GoM member (aside from Akashi, kind of) who doesn’t slack off, unlike Aomine and Murasakibara for example, just because his opponents are weak. He still goes all out regardless.
I understand why they don't give Midorima zone , since apart from his terrific shooting ,he was also good in defnce and can make other attacks if he wanted . Noone would have been able to defend him if he would have entered zone
there is no shame in falling
the only shame is in not getting up

He is a team player too unlike the other GOM
@@TheOverlordEND If i could shoot from fkn anywhere i wanted i would be the most arrogant person in the world
@@pitterr5 having unlimited range with 100% accuracy will develop ego no matter who you are. Being arrogant is a given xD
Best scene and Best Duo!! So good
I still get chills when Akashi and Midorima recreats this combo in KnB: Last Game against Jabberwock, since Emperor Eye is better than Falcon Eye
That yeet, LMAO
That is like a 3 pt alley oop
That perfect yeet at 4:08
4:09 Yeet :D

That no look midair pass was paying homage to Kageyama-Hinata's weird quick from Haikyuu!!
Actually the opposite, since KnB manga came out first and the mangaka of KnB taught drawing to the mangaka of Haikyuu
