Did not disappoint. Having the same abilities on the same letter makes it so much easier to organize and more importantly, less time consuming. It's so much easier to remember which is which. You'll want to be farming that Justice 2x drop day all day every week if you are using a setup like this.
Thank you so much! Yeah you definitely want to be farming that specific day, but I think it cuts down on how much farming you need to do :) ultimately if you want a perfect set for every situation you'll still be farming forever. It's impossible to have everything always perfect.
man, you've helped me a lot with your 1st TS guide. Wish I this vid was uploaded earlier, the idea of 2 letters with Universal stats really helpful in organizing.
This is an interesting approach. It’s very flexible. My main way of thinking about rune sets is by what roles my units need to fill rather than focusing so much on what kinds of units I’m facing. So, I have a tank (generic) set, a defense tank set, a magic tanks set, a physical attacker set, magic attacker… you get the picture. I do try to have some of the passives be combined intelligently so that I can swap one rune out for another if I want but I find that I rarely do that. So, it’s nice to just have a rune set for whoever my healer will be, then another for the tank, etc. It’s a slightly different way of thinking about things than yours with an emphasis on my own units rather than the enemy. I was happy to learn a new way of thinking about stuff though. I think I’ll start incorporating some of these principles into my new rune sets going forward. Thanks!
thanks for the follow up on this guild! really really appreciate it! btw, nice run with Mediena on AuronnJ's channel! i kinda want to build her now via mog medals after watching your performance on her. you made her look like a champ!
Thanks so much!! Mediena is a fun unit :) she is the literal definition of 'glass cannon' but her LB is good, she has some spirit pen, and she has good movement
Damnnn, those 3 HP +10%, Luck + 10% are sweet lol... wish I could do that, but I've literally only rolled 2 HP + 4% since starting to look at these more seriously (start of July) -_-. But great video and some helpful ideas! Need more smithing tools....
@@KSaun Aren't we all ? :P Btw i really wanted to ask you, is Wotv your first FF or you have played other FF titles? Do you have a favourite one if yes? Asking out of curiosity :)
@@merk4462 Good question! I always used to say that FF7 was my favorite game of all time, but I think the remake is probably taking its place. Great guides man! I'm slowly inching towards building mine lol. This video has me working on them more than other videos on RUclips. So thanks for that! I'm just running into reforge limits. But that's OK. They'll come in time. Question... can you farm the hammers needed to merge the passives?
Thank you so much! I appreciate it. There's definitely no way to unlimited farm them. The best way is to just make sure you're completing missions and fighting in the arena as you will get some as rewards each month. Also check the MOG shop each week to see if you can exchange for them :)
I was making rune sets per TMR, and I'm up to 60 lvl 20 UR truststones. I was happy with what I've done, but now after looking at how you started doing yours, I look at them with nothing but disgust. If it didn't take months to farm the mats to level them up I'd destroy them all and start over. Great video, it has ruined me.
Hey FNF Friend!! Don't feel that way at all. If you have 60 lv 20 UR truststones you have plenty of characters that you can get some major use out of them. I've done the exact same type of thing as you, and have plenty of truststones that are not 'optimzied' and I'm keeping all of them. They still get use because they are SUPER good for the units I use them on. Now, I'm just making some more new ones to be more generic and flexible for the characters that aren't the ones I use all the time.
@@KSaun I might have been a little dramatic haha. But ya, from now on I'll be focusing on having my new runes more organized. Having that flexibility is huge. I can keep the runes I have now as a very specific set for a specific unit. It'll just wreck havoc on my ocd. Good luck this Friday!
8:15 thanks for the video! I have a question about this part - Does the "All element debuff resist" passive works on every element imperil? I'm afraid of getting it and it only applying for Oberon's limit burst. This game have some weird nomenclatures that can mislead us. Also, to me the worst part about truststones is not even organizing, it's leveling up the passives takes so much grind and thousands of clicks. Some days I spend all my nrg pots farming multi and it's not enough to upgrade a single passive to lvl20 edit: I watched the video till the end and I see you have over 30 stones, so I see why you need so much organizing lol I only have 9 and it became too much for me to handle
Curious about these (Atk Type and Element Type resists) plus Resnick or Sadali’s debuff resist buff, do they stack up to 55%? That would actually be incredible.
@@wotv_lynx haven't tested it so I'm not 100% but most of the time how this stuff works is you have your flat amount (25 from the truststone) and then 1 in game buff can stack on top of that
Good guide. The system is just a pain. I only have 2 sets (just yellow for set bonus) on 1 item and they constantly get "delinked", if was swapping around and doing more with them it'd be a severe headache. Merging bonuses is also stupid expensive due to using resmithing hammers that are extremely rare.
Thanks! And to each their own. Ultimately it's a game, so if you don't want to build them, you don't need to. In the future they are making a 'template' so that you can just click a button and it will swap all 6 stones to the TMR you want so that will be a very nice QoL change
@@KSaun the template would help, the delinking thing happens for about a week after I move them and you have to reattach them 5+ times before it "sticks", then they still randomly drop off but not every mode change, if I was moving 3 items worth of TS I'd throw out the game lol just got the LC TMR and haven't moved my TS to it cuz I don't want to deal with a week+ of delinking.
@@nevyns9285 hmmm. When you say de-linking, the only thing I can think is that you're equipping a characters favorited equipment? If you do that I believe it takes the truststones off. Not sure why it does that but as long as I don't have favorite equipment on characters I don't have the issue
@@KSaun yeah you have to take off all favorited gear, but I still get the stones popping off the TMR about once a week after it starts sticking. It could be a server desync when applying that it's not really there yet and if I pop off to something else it reverts. Is just annoying and weird.
I really wish there was no dismantle limit. Sometimes you can get multiple passives you want in a day and sometimes you can go two weeks without the one you want
I copy pasted my comment from the video thread on WOTV reddit, because it seems like the video comments are a bit more active. I like the idea of running as generic stones as possible on 2/3 letters. It really makes organising trust stones easier, even though the passive rolling process becomes even more of a pain in the ass. Long term, I think it's worth it, but it still makes me die a little bit inside when I reroll after getting a top tier max stat passive because it's on the wrong letter. One thing I did run into though on my newest alt account is that focusing only on one (or even two) types of sets is killing my hammer supply because of moving the passives. On my two old accounts I barely pay any attention to hammers because I have a big supply built up over months. With the 50 UR shard limit and few ways of getting UR shards otherwise, it will take a long time before I hit a hammer wall. But on my newest alt, I am already out of AGI hammers and I am using way more than I can get by playing the game. And I refuse to buy their hammer packages. It really feels like for a new account you either have to pay or you just won't be able to optimise the trust stones. It really made me sour on the system. Because my initial feeling was that it was indeed very good for new accounts. Other ways of getting strong involve getting 115-120 units, 99 VCs, raid gear, lvl 99 Espers - especially the first three are a very long process for a new account. While trust stone farming might be annoying, you can do it even on a very weak account and the set bonuses and passives are accessible much easier than level 99 VCs. But as soon as I hit the hammer wall, it felt like I either have to pay an extortionate amount of money for hammers or spread out my trust stone across various sets. Sets which I might not even want and when running them I lose a lot of the optimised organisation benefits from your video. Maybe there's a guide on how to get more hammers, but my problem is that even when I manage to get them somehow, it's usually a reward where I can't pick. When I can pick, I always get the AGI ones, but it's nowhere close to enough.
Thanks for this!! Interesting point. I suppose for new accounts it might be easier to just make truststones with only one of the passives you want on each letter so that you don't need as many hammers. It should still make a big difference in PvE, which for new players should probably be the main thing anyway. I don't think they can really expect to compete at a super high pvp level yet.
Finish both parts and now ready for some TS baby! Thank you so much! Let goo!!
